Appearances... what are they good for in the first place? Creating a lie about yourself in the eyes of others? What is the point when your instincts will not let you stay true to the lie anyway and expose the truth sooner or later? If you do not care about the person, why create the appearance if you could not care less about their view of you anyway? Is it for gain, in order to use them for your goals? Beyond disgusting. And if you care about the person and create appearances anyway, what is the point? You are making them trust the mirage you are creating, not making them trust you. Or are you stupid enough to believe that you will be able to maintain it forever?

It is especially stupid if the image is created in order to 'find a mate'. Making them fall in love with a lie only to be extremely surprised why they leave once they see the real you. One would think that humanity should have realized this by now, but no, it's getting worse instead of better. Same goes for various forms of contract. Sugar-coating it all for the sake of getting as many signatures as possible, just to torment the people who were baited. Sure, it is partially the fault of the one who signed. But the ones who color it all up just to get numbers are despicable beyond mere stupidity. How is it that the world is becoming a huge banquet of lies, fabricated politeness and painted masks, and no one seems bothered, as if it should become normality?

Those who try to present themselves as something better are the worst sort of all. Much worse than those who stay quiet, thinking they are the actual problem. It seems so painfully obvious, yet it's getting sustained instead of supressed. Even when those with power do horrid things 'for the common good', the majority either lets it slide or goes along with it. Doesn't that make them equally evil?

It would really be nice to forget these things sometimes. Actually, properly forget, erase what happened and the consequences it caused on the mind. I would be ready to give up so much just to get some things out of my head. But that's something for fantasy books, I suppose. Reality does not host many people who actually think about the consequences of their actions. How just a few of their words can be enough to mess someone else's head for years to come. They don't have the emotional intelligence capacity to comprehend the fact that words can sometimes cause more damage than physical violence. Or the fact that some words can get burned into neurons and stay forever, irritating the thoughts every singe day, even if the victim is aware that those words are not the truth. At this point, one has to wonder, why is it that idiots are usually the ones living easy lives, and the intelligent struggle with their own mind every day.

I wonder if they're aware that the person they're dierctly hurting is not the only one who has to suffer either. The victims loved ones will notice, will see the damage, will see how it affects the victim every single day. And they will feel guilty for not being able to help, lose sleep thinking what to do, fear every second the victim is not in sight, terrified they might do something stupid. But the one who caused it will always just say "how is that my fault"...?

Humans should have evolved a mechanism similar to bees. If they sting, they die.
