A loud phone ringtone interrupted the silence in the ward, along with the unease hidden deep in Ye Zhan's eyes.
Momo helped Ye Zhan pick up the phone.
He didn't answer, just asked blandly, "Who's calling?"
"Secretary Liu."
"Answer it for me."
Ye Zhan used his eyes to indicate to her that both of his hands were not convenient for answering.
Momo shook her head, "I'll switch on the speakerphone for you."
After saying that, she directly turned on the speakerphone and then got up to go to the bathroom.
She didn't necessarily want to be involved in whatever Secretary Liu was contacting him about.
Now she was already very conflicted, as she could never refuse Ye Zhan, knowing well that he wasn't as incapable of taking care of himself as he claimed.
More than anything, he wanted to gain her sympathy.
