Minty: "In our first episode, we talked about how religion can sometimes feel like a list of 'affordability' and 'decency.' When you look at this 'new home' Abba has prepared, do you feel like this 'becoming' is a task you have to complete—like you're still trying to control the outcome—or is the 'requirement' actually just the act of letting Him do the work while you simply... stay?"
[The audience watches closely, curious if the addiction to control is trying to sneak its way into Iboni's new journey, or if home means something much simpler.]
Iboni: "It wasn't a task. It was never a task. The change that will happen to you, the change that will happen inside of you, is never my task nor your task, it is the Holy Spirit that helps us change, not ourselves. [Points upward] To Adonai, you'll only be able to be changed by surrendering to Him and receiving His grace. Because Abba won't be able to move you or to change you when you don't allow Him to. You change because you ALLOW Him to. He is not the kind of God that waits for you to be perfect before coming to you, He comes to you even when you aren't perfect."
[A soft, collective murmur of "Amen" and "Yes" travels through the audience. They can see several people closing their eyes for a moment, as if they are finally putting down a heavy suitcase they've been carrying for years. The atmosphere has shifted from a lesson to a relief. The idea that perfection isn't a prerequisite for the Presence of God is clearly the water these people have been thirsty for.]
Minty:[Nodding slowly, her expression full of peace] "That is a beautiful, radical truth. In a world that tells us we have to 'hustle' for everything—even for our own worth—you're saying the most important thing we can do is simply... drop the defenses and let the Holy Spirit do the heavy lifting."
