I don't know where I heard that phrase before, but it's very accurate.
No single person can do everything by themselves; if they could, then they would be a god.
But no.
Every disease needs a doctor to treat it.
Every broken door needs a carpenter to fix it.
Every toilet needs a plumber to unclog it.
The long and short of it is that societies need all sorts of people in all sorts of positions.
And the moment any of these people die, the moment any of these positions suddenly disappear, that's when society begins to collapse.
It's almost like an ecosystem.
You take away one part, and the whole thing just...shuts down.
