A few minutes earlier on a rooftop neighboring the school, Sans appeared with Nanami and and Ino in tow. "So, is this it?" Sans asked for confirmation.
"Well based on the Curtain, I'd say this is i-" Nanami is cut off as a window shatters in the building across from them four stories up and a kid with a giant jellyfish shikigami land on the roof of some bicycle storage area, quickly followed Yuji who slammed into the roof in order to throw off an attack from said jellyfish.
"Okay that's definitely them," Sans begun as the fight continued and Junpei was punched back into the building through another window. "You two can definitely take care of them, I'm going to trace their destruction and search for any hostages."
Nanami was still hesitant about the Curse going to check on civilians but left it for now, "Alright we will stay here and lookout for any signs of the Special grade." Sans gave a thumbs up and shortcut to the window that the two fighters came from.
Nanami and Ino continued to observe as Yuji let Junpei punch him in the face then begun talk about what happened. Nanami and Ino listened in by coating their ears in CE.
"Seems like Tokyo has yet another first year this year, doesn't that tie with record then? You know for most students in a single year Tokyo has had, the record was four that was set last year if we include the Cursed Corpse." Ino said trying to make conversation
"That would be a good sign for Sorcerers, it would help lighten the load on the rest of us. That is only if this incident doesn't cause too many problems, though with Gojo around he shouldn't have to worry about that," Nanami shared his thoughts.
They focused back to the conversation between the two kids as it was concluding. "If we all work together, we can find out who cursed your mom. We'll punish 'em. We'll fight together!" Yuji finished when he noticed someone coming down the steps.
"Who are you?" Yuji asked cautiously.
"I guess it's nice to meet you, Sukuna's vessel." Mahito greeted as he begun to reshape his arm.
"Wait, Mahito!" Junpei shouted.
Yuji is then slammed into the wall and held there, 'That's probably the Curse from the sewers,' Nanami thought. He put together the amount of CE he felt, the fact Yuji mistook it for human, and the giant misshapen hand holding him against the window, "We're going in now," Nanami told Ino.
"Alright," Ino said as he pulled up his hood.
"Junpei! Run! I don't know how you know this guy, but just run away! Please!" Itadori pleaded.
"Don't worry Itadori! Mahito isn't a bad per-" Nanami had jumped down from the roof and was running through the courtyard, "a bad, person."
"Junpei, your a pretty smart guy. But you overthink things when you should act, which puts you in some pretty bad spots. This is a perfect example!" Nanami was close enough and concentrated CE around his legs.
"All those people you think are stupid, well guess what?" Nanami landed on the ledge of a window, "You're just as stupid a-" Mahito is cut off as Nanami breaks through the window and cuts off his arm.
"So you did survive, that won't be the case for much longer,"

"You're looking good, 7:3 hairstyle Sorcerer, I wasn't expecting you so soon," Mahito comments as he healed himself and Junpei backed away towards Yuji.
"Nanamin!" Yuji yelled glad to see him. Mahito was still holding Yuji when the mutated arm is blown up by a flying horn that tore through it, freeing Yuji. He traced the path back to Ino, "and cartoon burglar guy?" He said a bit confused.
"I'm not a burglar! I'm a grade 2 Sorcerer who's on the cusp of becoming grade 1! Anyway we're here to rescue you so you two need to get out of here now!" Ino yelled.
"No, there's no way I'm leaving now, I remember the Curse Residuals left behind on those transfigured humans, it's the same as the Curse standing here. That means this is the Curse that killed those people, and I can't forgive that." Yuji finished as he gathered CE around his hands.
Junpei had moved away from Mahito to stand closer to Yuji, he was unclear what to do but he had realized that Nanami had saved him so he wanted to stay as well to repay the favor. "I'll stay as well, I can't let Yuji fight alone to die if he's going to find out who cursed my mom," Junpei argued as he summoned his shikigami.
"But-"
"Enough, there's no point in arguing any further we don't have the time, just stay alive, we have back up on the way." Nanami interrupted as they turned their attention back to Mahito.
"Four on one is pretty unfair, why don't we even the odds." Mahito finished by transforming his arm in three serrated whips that lashed out, blowing a hole in the wall.
Junpei used his shikigami to shield himself, causing him to be launched out of the building into the courtyard. Yuji, Nanami, and Ino opted to dodge instead but had jumped back to gain more time to react, landing outside with Junpei.
Before Mahito could continue Nanami warned, "Don't let him touch you with his palm or you're dead." Mahito shot out 5 transfigured humans while concentrating his attack on Junpei, going for the weakest link, only for yuji to grab the whips.
Yuji hands were then impaled by spikes, but he ignored the pain and pulled Mahito down. Nanami moved and cut off Mahito's untransfigured arm, while Kaichi, the horn from earlier, shot a hole through one of Mahito's eyes.
Junpei stepped back but moved his shikigami forward and managed to scratch and poison mahito on his side. The yuji crushed Mahito's face in with a punch, knocking him back a few feet, then another few feet as the second blow of the divergent fist hit.
Mahito was able to quickly heal, getting a moments breath as they became momentarily distracted by the the transfigured humans. Mahito was about to continue when he noticed a drop of blood drip from his face, quickly coming to the conclusion that Yuji could damage him due to containing two souls.
Not only that but the poison was harder to heal from, and he had to reshape his body to seperate the poison. It did give him and idea though which he quickly acted on, he swung both arms, one released another five transfigured humans, while the other shot out the poison in an attempt to use it against them.
Junpei saw this and immediately stopped supplying it with CE and focused on the TH (transfigured humans), Nanami also noticed the blood and called out to yuji as he decapitated a TH, "Yuji! He didn't heal from your attack, we need you to actually hurt him, well concentrate on getting you close!" Nanami ordered.
"You got it Nanami," "Understood," "Alright," the three responded. Nanami and Yuji moved closer while Ino and Junpei a
Stayed back and used their summons at range.
As they once again closed in on Mahito, he decided to test out a new move, "Soul Multiplicty: Body Repel."
