The Star Mover decisively rejected Anthony's proposal and expressed dissatisfaction with it, asking Anthony not to make such jokes in the future, and then left.
"A righteous Divine Star," Anthony muttered softly. He wasn't displeased; in fact, he thought it was quite good.
Anthony preferred upright people the most, especially those who remained true despite repeated temptations, because the behavior patterns of an upright person are predictable.
Other than the Prophet, no one likes dealing with capricious people. Even Anthony, able to read minds, doesn't want to deal with such people—it's too exhausting.
Of course, whether the Star Mover is indeed upright remains to be observed. Maybe it's just that the temptation wasn't enough? What if someone could exchange with him for making an Incremental Body—could he still be so upright?
For a moment, various base and vile thoughts surged in Anthony's mind.
