Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Armageddon

The cold wind smacks against the view overlooking the town of Kouh. The sound of rustling jeans and the whistle of nature followed as I grew close to the edge of a rooftop.

The figure front-flips before pushing off the air, boosting itself across and over four buildings. Leaving trailing dissolving orange lines.

'I should've done this long ago.' K eyed the light traffic flowing through tight roads and intersections. 'Running is overrated.'

The teen turned his gaze towards the light blue skies and rising sun across the horizon. He plummets before taking off towards the skies once more.

K closes his eyes, releasing a breath. "Ha."

'Akeno.'

The teen red sneakers plant onto the roof before slowly approaching an AC unit. He climbs on top of it before sitting along the edge, his legs dangling.

K whips out his phone and dials. The phone hums while his gaze stares across the roof and towards the mountains where the sun peaks.

"Hi." A familiar voice emerged from the phone.

"Hey, Akeno-"

"I'm sorry. I can't be on the phone right now. Leave a voicemail or call right back. I'll be with you when I can."

"Fuck me." K breathed out, slumping his shoulders. "What can I do to hear some of her unsettling banter?" He licked his inner cheek with a frown before pulling up his phone.

The phone hums once more.

"Dude, what the fuck?" A feminine voice grumbled through the phone. "It's seven in the morning."

"Issa, just the person I want to hear." The teen smirked. "I'm just calling, wondering how you and the club are doing."

"What?"

"You know." K swings his legs along the ledge of the AC Unit. "How's everyone? Hope those sword welders didn't give you any trouble yesterday."

"Am I dreaming?" Issa groaned.

"Oh, I can help." K lowers his brows. "Take that pillow you got right under you and apply it to your face. If you ever succumb to a lack of breath, you're doing the right thing."

"I'm not. Ugh! I'm fine." K hears shuffling and the door swinging. "What do you want? I mean, you never call or text unless it's business-related."

"Well, maybe I'm just curious. Or maybe I'm excited."

"You're as excited as my Dad going to the DMV." Issa splashes water onto her face, staring into the mirror at her baggy eyes. "But, alright." She sighs, placing her hands on the counter. "You want it short and long?"

"Be brief."

"Well, I had a childhood friend who happened to be one of the church sword maidens; the chicks you saw back at the club. And they're looking for stolen swords from an culprit who is here in Kuoh. Followed by Kiba. And they want us to stay out of it."

"Really?" K spoke through the red flip phone sitting by the bathroom marble sink.

"Really." Issa rubs the bridge of her nose before rubbing her eyes. "You're not, are you?"

"No, why would I?"

"No, why would I?" Issa mimics with a gruff. "You dumbass, you never learn." She said with a smirk. "I swear we have a love-and-hate relationship. If I were Satan, I would've had your soul by now."

"I think you already did."

"And your heart if you are not careful."

K clears his throat.

"Yeah, right."

Issa grew a wicked grin.

"I hope that's not all you want from me."

"Well, no." K paused. "Can I be honest?"

"By all means."

"I want someone to talk to." He breathed out. "I mean, the fallen are cool, but I don't know where we fall into. The silence is killing me."

"Dude, is this one of your post-nut clarities?" Issa held her phone to her ear.

"Har. Har."

"I mean, seriously. Don't tell me you're on a roof watching the sunset."

"No." K paused while Issa raised a brow with a smirk. Staring at herself through the mirror. She wore her white T-shirt, hiding her breasts, and black shorts, curved to her rear.

"Enjoying the view?"

"Fuck you."

"Waiting on you buckaroo," K grumbled while Issa felt herself grin. "If this is you at seven in the morning, then I need to start charging you." She sighs, leaning by the sink. "Where are you?"

"Why?"

"Because today's the weekend. We agreed to go out tomorrow, and you woke me. I'm not letting you off that easy."

"Fine." K huffed while Issa eyed the closed white door of her bathroom. "Balmore Street."

"There should be a Good Burger down a few blocks. I'll be there in a few."

"Why does it have to be greasy foods?"

"I like meat in my mouth. You're paying, Bombshell." Issa hangs up.

"Have you not heeded your vocabulary, controversial?" A blinking green circle appeared on Issa's right palm.

"Ddraig, I'm the one steering the ship, buddy. Maybe a little encouragement will help."

"I'm afraid my 'encouragement' spells doom to my sanity."

"To be fair, I don't think you got any left."

"So consoling a post-monster is not? Do you cater these experiences?"

"He's a friend who needs help." Issa furrowed her brows at her hand. "If Asia or Rias can't get through to him. It can't hurt to try."

Ddraig sighs.

"If you feel it's best. Who can stop you? The way the boy looks at you, I won't be baffled if he makes his move."

"I mean." Issa blushes, looking elsewhere. "Let's leave that on the back burner for now."

K paced down the street, passing a local with his hands in his pockets. Coins clattered together. A car rolled by, its tires pressing along the gravel. He side-eyed a barbershop, hearing the clipings of hair clippers grind into baggy hair.

A shrieking and weeping of someone wiping the windows on the second-story building.

The teen banged his palm near his ear in a grimace.

'Bloody hell!'

A chime of a bell followed.

'What the hell's wrong with me?!'

"Open your hearts! To our Lord!" A bell continued, followed by a familiar feminine voice. "And so he will open his!" K shakes his head. "Do you think there will be enough for breakfast, Xenovia?" K stops tilting his head towards the conversation. "Maybe we shouldn't have started this early in the morning."

"The earlier the better." Another voice adds while K quickens his pace down the block, snapping his head at each intersection.

"You hate me, don't you?" The voice paused, followed by a continuous bell. "Though I have sinned. I will get back; your gracefulness and followed by our God. Though that should be the other way around, no offense."

K eyed the two cloaked women stationed at a corner, a station bucket dangling between them. He sighs.

"How long do we stand out here?" Irina looks to Xenovia.

"As long as it takes." Xenovia remained fixed elsewhere.

"Right! Of course, duh!" Irina blows a raspberry. "It has to be a test! We shall never waver!" She clenched her fist with a beaming smile. "The weather is quite nice." The beaming Nun gasps. "Maybe it's Divine Intervention!"

Xenovia remained silent.

The rocking bucket swung, and a brief gust of wind flattered their cloaks, revealing the nuns' skin-tight attire.

They gazed at the bucket filled with a stack of bills.

"EEEEEEE!!!" Irina's eyes sparkle, while Xenovia only stares with raised brows.

K found himself at Good Burger. Planting himself in a booth at the corner of the store, two tables from the windows.

He interlocks his hands, bouncing his eyes at a fast-food worker taking orders while another wipes the tables, leaving a pristine shine on the navy-and-white marble tables.

The teen loosened his hands before tapping them on the table; his eyes wandered to the window, to Issa. Stepping along and towards the entrance.

The bell chimes.

"Welcome to Good Burger." The cashier smirked while Issa returned a favor with a two-finger salute.

"Well, I was hoping to beat you here." Issa planted her hands on her hips, looking down at the table, wearing a black hoodie and grey jeans.

"Yeah?" K croaked, raising his brows.

"Are you going to stand up to greet me?" She shifts on her legs, raising a brow of her own. "Come on, don't tell me you forgot your manners."

K rocket from his chair.

"Yeah, of course."

Issa opened her arms, beaming, while K accepted her firm hug and her perky breast pressed against his chest. The release of a faint blush appeared on his face before he stepped back.

"Right." Issa breathes out, rubbing her gut. "I haven't had breakfast, so..." Her brown eyes lock onto his. "Accept responsibility." She gave a toothy grin.

The two gather at a table, digging into their trays of scrambled eggs with a slice of melted cheese, a side of hashbrowns poppers, and stacked pancakes.

"So good." Issa moans with a mouthful, rolling her eyes.

K only picked at his food, taking slow and precise bites. The corner of his lip pitched as he watched Issa stab three stacks of pancakes with her plastic fork, followed by bits of hashbrown. She stuffs her mouth.

Swallowing.

"You're creeping me out." Issa leans over her food, her free hand hovering lazily mere inches from her mouth.

"Me?" K stiffen.

"Uh, huh. What's going on? One moment you're pulling out your imaginary cross and the next you're acting like a shy schoolgirl." She leans back into her chair. "My Libido is ruined. Thanks to you."

"You're welcome?" He dragged out, staring at his tray. "Thanks for coming. I mean it." Mr.Yuri gave a quick glance, seeing Issa nod before staring back at his food. "I went out for a run as usual, but now I don't feel like it." Issa remained silent. "What do you think of my neighbors? I mean, what do you think about me? I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going a little fast. And this silence. It's killing me."

"Personally." Issa raised her hands. "No. Offense. You could've chosen better friends. And I mean that by 'friends.' I'm a literal devil, but that beats the point." She waved her hand. "You're living in a literal lion's den. The Fallen could be planning ways to convince you into 'falling'..." She bends her fingers. "While the partners you recruit could be your one way to hell, literal and metaphorical. I mean, what's your goal?"

"Should I repeat it?" K questioned.

"Exactly. Why are you beating yourself up for? You got us."

"What if that's not enough?"

"What do you mean?"

"H.A. is coming. Rias told me. They know I'm here."

"I know. What are you going to do?"

"I don't know." K rubs his head, looking at the table before him. "I don't want to hurt them or worse. I got enough blood on my hands."

"You going to turn yourself in?"

K's eyes meet Issa's, staring blankly.

"I don't know." He twisted his lip before pressing his finger on the table. "I can't leave. Knowing you guys are facing this alone. Rias should understand that."

"Maybe she does. She is just trying to understand why you are building your house out of a stack of cards."

"Because just maybe," K whispered, huddled against the table. "What everyone sees is wrong. Or maybe I am...I know I'm going to hell. Not the pretty kind. I'm destined. But, at the end of the day. There should be a flicker or gleam waiting to flourish because someone gives a damn. My grandfather was a bad person, and yet here we are. I could've killed him when he took me in, yet he gave me a chance. How can we define who's good and bad? And are we too late?"

'Maybe you should watch the sunset. So you get rid of your prevertness.' Ddraig remarked while Issa grew a bright blush.

'Shut up.'

"A-all this is nice." Issa planted her elbow on the table, her chin resting in her palm while she stared out the window. "But, instead of telling me, why not a familiar redhead?" She almost whispered.

K sits back in his chair, a blush climbing.

"Won't talk to me. Not even Akeno."

"I could tell. Or maybe you're a pussy?"

"Maybe."

Issa let out a sharp exhale, covering her mouth.

"I didn't expect you to agree." She chuckled.

"I'm not socially drained." K flattened his lips, avoiding her eyes.

"Maybe Asia needs to see this part of you too." She smiled while K gave a weak one.

"Meow." Multiple cats of various colors barraged Kalawarner, who had planted herself on a bench just by an overpass.

Various cat food cans are littered around her black flat dress shoes, while she wears caramel dress pants, a short-sleeved white dress, two buttons down, revealing skin just above her round breasts.

Kalawarner's yellow eyes pierce through her black-framed glasses, her beaming smile glances down at the attention-starved cats finding their place around their companion.

"I know. I know." She brushes her hand against the spine of a ginger cat just along her calf. "That Devil boy doesn't know quality other than his looks." Hinata combs her fingers along another cat's tail. "I know what's best. I'll bring the finest milk you've ever seen."

The bundle of cats purred, sending vibrations through her body. Kalawarner let out a yelp before giggling, scratching under the jaw of the white cat just between her closed legs.

She stared out to the riverbank, taking in the blue sky and the cool wind forcing the collar of her dress shirt to wave just slightly.

'What are those Devils and the idiot up to?' She closes her eyes, taking in a deep breath.

The sound of rustling leaves filled her ears; insects, birds, and animals followed. A hand stretched out, flinging the fist-sized leaf bushes aside, followed by the crutching she leaves in her wake.

She came to the clearing, approaching a cliff that rose four stories. The yellow eyes snapped over her shoulder to the heavyweight who followed after.

A brown bear erupts from the vegetation, followed by a huff. Its eyes lock with Kalawarner, whose black hair dangles over her large breasts filled with twigs and leaves, while below, a grey furry loincloth dangles between her muscular calves.

"URRAAA!!!" She screams, revealing her canines.

The bear gave one back, releasing silava, making her stomach rumble. It dashed toward her, closing the gap.

A cat-like roar erupts with bass, leaping from the edges of the forest onto the bear's back. A sabertooth takes a nip of the brown bear's neck, forcing out a roar.

The bear shuffled on its feet, then rotated, tossing the intruder aside.

The white-and-black-striped sabertooth tiger falls onto its shoulder before planting itself, locking its bright blue eyes with the bear.

It roared while the bear swiped at the Sabertooth, who back-stepped. The tiger leaps, landing a slap along its jaw. The bear took it, pinning the tiger to the ground.

"AAAAH!!!" The brown bear looks over on its hind legs at Kalawarner, leaping from the cliffside wall. The cavewoman forces the bear onto its back before squirming, wrapping her lean arms around the bear's massive neck. "Ugh!!" She twisted, followed by the bear's neck.

Its tongue hangs from the apex predator's maw. At the same time, Kalawarner drops the head onto the needle grass before screaming up into the blue, cloudy sky. A crazed smile plastered on her face as she looks down at her prize.

She forced her fingers into the bear's nose, and the bear let out a snort. It rolls over, swatting at Kalawaner, who steps back, letting out a bellow of laughter.

A heavy weight pressed onto her spine, she flips over the bear's chest, cartwheeling onto her shoulder.

The white-and-black-striped sabertooth cat leaped onto the bear, which shifted its weight, throwing the cat towards Kalawarner, who rolled from the heavy weight.

The Sabertooth rolls onto its paws, facing the bear with a glint in its eyes.

"HA! HA!" Kalawarner leaped onto the Sabertooth spine, gripping its fur.

The brown bear remained on its side, breathing heavily, watching the laughing cavewoman hanging on for dear life onto the Sabertooth, which ran in circles trying to nip her dangling hair.

The Sabertooth slowed down, licking between its maw with heavy breath.

"Ah!" Kalawarner straightened on the sabertooth spine, panting heavily. "Outake na?"

The Sabertooth let out a gruff; Kalawarner blew into its flickering ear, making it whip its head, releasing a crackle in its throat. They make their way towards the brown bear.

The tiger rested on the grass as Kalawarner tumbled between the two apex predators. Her fingers scratching into their fur. Her yellow eyes stretch up to the skies. Her chest rises and falls.

"Well, look who it is! If it ain't blue and her critter friends." Kalawarner's yellow eyes snapped open, locking eyes with an approaching crazy-eyed priest.

The bundle of cats either scurries away or remains with a hiss.

"Nice weather, no?" Freed opened his arms, taking in a breath. "It's to die for."

"Sorry, do I know you?"

"Aw." The priest smacks his lips, slouching. "And I thought we made friendship bracelets."

Kalawarner gazed blankly.

"What do you want?"

"You know there's a song?" Freed crossed his arms. "Though I can't stay long, I'm preparing a sleepover if you will. And me staring at your alluring curves is making me all bouncy." Freed gave a crazed look. "I came for a favor."

"Speak."

"Your bouncy friend. Twinkle toes if you will. I need him gone."

"Eliminated?"

"Pssf! Please, a low-tier angel like you won't leave a scratch."

"Watch your tongue." Kalawarner glared.

"Oh! She bites back. I almost feel it in my groins. No! I need you to batter your lashes, shake your tail feather, anything to keep him distracted."

"What does this have to do with me?"

"You're not up underly useless. It was a matter of convincing the big boss. And you should be on your knees thanking me, hmmmm?" He leans forward with a crazed raised brow.

"I'll do it."

"Really?"

"The mission." Kalawarner crossed her arms. "You got a hand."

"You're such a tease!" Freed whines. "Though I should blame my Sellzen for his taste of women. He only wants to build his congregation"

"You know, the kid has monsters, but one usually patrols the night."

He chuckled softly. "A magician never reveals his secrets. CHOW!!" Freed threw a flash, leaving only a cloud of smoke.

Koneko jogs down the sidewalk past the town folk. Wearing a black sports bra and spandex shorts. A cloudy black and grey sweatband that stretches across her forehead along the temple of her white hair, done with a black cat emblem pinned on her band, letting the early morning see.

She lightly pants, jogging past someone changing a tire on his car.

Koneko closes the door to her room, followed by someone else. She turns her head to K in his casual wear just a door away.

"Going for an early jog?" K raised a brow, facing her.

"Are you?" Koneko questioned blankly.

"Yes. And no." K paced down the hall, followed by Koneko, leaving thuds in the quiet house. "I just need time to think."

"For a mentor, you're doing a terrible job."

"I warned you." He opens the front door for the petite girl before closing it behind him and locking it. Koneko bounces in her steps before taking off. "Koneko."

The white-haired child halts before turning to K, inching towards her.

"Is Kiba fine?" K questioned.

"I think. Kiba is still going out, but Rias discovered a loophole, so he should be fine."

"How about Akeno?" K let out slowly. "She's been different lately?"

"What's this about?" Koneko blinks.

"Ehhh...just answer the question."

"We have our share of responsibilities, and as Rias' Queen. She must carry that weight. She's busy. By all means, leave her alone. For now, she'll thank you for it." Koneko shifts her weight and crosses her arms. "Is that all?"

K flattened his lips.

"Yes, for now. And soon I'll think of something."

"Deuces." Koneko begins her jog on the opposite side of the house from K.

Panting, Koneko jogs into a park. Passing around the water fountain and towards a walking path.

Her black training shoes bounce on the concrete, air escapes and rolls into her nose and mouth while the cool breeze kisses her white skin.

Rapid steps filled Koneko's ears, she looked over to a fellow jogger making pace before they ran alongside her.

"Is this becoming your favorite pastime?" Kuroka is wearing all-pink spandex gear similar to Koneko's. No sweatband, her black hair tied up in a bun, and she wore silver-framed glasses. "I mean. You gotta burn them calories somehow."

Koneko focuses on the path ahead.

"Don't tell me it's that knucklehead?" Kuroka quipped, her blue eyes scanning her sister's bland face, pacing her breath. "All he ever does is warm up, eat, sleep, and repeat. Nothing extraordinary besides his quirk. That I tend capitalized." She released a smirk to her jogging buddy.

"What spell did you use this time?" Koneko remarked.

"Oh? Do you like?" Ms.Barechild purred. "Gotta reserve my mana somehow. Unless, Gremory. And your posse decided to gobble me up."

"What do you want?"

"Of course, you. You want a Mentor who caters to your needs. K's just a bonus."

"In your dreams." Koneko bridged to the right path.

"You haven't told him, have you?" Kuroka tilts her head, beaming. "Oh, I know. You think you're a monster. In hopes he'll tame the beast within. Shoot. I hope he'll tame me."

Koneko glued on the walkway while Kuroka turned before her sister.

"I'll grow strong. And kill you myself."

"Oh, I don't know what to tell you." She bends down to Koneko's level, revealing the cracks of her huge breasts. "You're gonna have to use your Senjutsu, sweetheart. Your snail pace and I wouldn't break a sweat." Barechild smiled.

"Hmm...maybe you're right." Kuroka twists her face. "Thanks." Koneko jogs away.

"Wait! Hang on a minute! Kuroka raced after her.

"You think this is fine?" K walked along the slim road of a neighborhood with Issa at his side.

"How many times do I have to say it?" Issa waved her hand. "I didn't peg you to being a worry wort. Besides, I'll be with you every step of the way." She rubs circles along Mr. Yuri, who stiffens, forming a blush.

"Okay." He bites his lips before stopping at a two-story house with a blue roof.

"My parents are not home." Issa fished her keys from her pocket. "They are early birds. Like yourself." She said the last part under her breath, making a soft grin.

Issa enters, revealing a wood-tile floor, leading towards a staircase on her left; past it, the spine of a blue cotton couch.

"Rias?" The Preverted Dragon called out. "Rias?!"

"In the living room," Rias called out. "Making yourself comfortable?"

K's hands shook.

"Not yet. Can I spare your time?" Issa grabbed K's hand, dragging him down the slim, short hall.

"Sure. I have a few moments." Issa and K plant their shoes onto the tiles of the living room, consisting of two blue couches: one at their waist, another Rias accompany along the wall below the white window blinds, letting the morning light, a six-inch flat screen TV was planted along the dark blue wall introducing a cooking channel just about the black footstool table just at the center of the room. "Oh."

Rias sits up from the couch in a white V-neck sleeveless t-shirt with three black buttons that go down just above the cracks of her hidden breast. She also wore sand-tan high-waist cargo shorts that showcased her thick and soft thighs.

"What's the meaning of this?" Rias planted her palms along the edge of the couch, raising her brow towards Issa. "You didn't warn me you were bringing a guest." She gave a closed-lip grin.

"You two. Should talk." Issa spoke while K stared across the room, towards the blinds above Rias.

"About?" Rias cocked her head towards K. "Does my servant have to speak for you?" This gathers the bald teen's attention. "Your tongue is free."

"Look." K croak out. "I'm sorry." Rias squints her eyes. "I shouldn't have lied to you."

"Are you really?"

"Yes."

"Hey." Issa bumps her arm against K, taking her seat on the couch before Rias.

K followed after.

"You made me look unreliable." Her tense gaze lasered at K. "Followed by your antics, I'm beginning to doubt this companionship is as co-dependent as I thought. I knew you were trouble when we first met. Should I tap a spell you have Akeno conjure for the Fallen? So you would have the common decency to not cower from honesty."

"Rias..." Issa spoke out.

"Zip." Her gaze never left K's, whose eyes shook while Issa whimper. "You are a childish, rude, temperamental, hypocritical, ego-driven, selfish person. And if you were my servant, I would've dragged you across this table and given you the six rings of punishment until the day you die." Rias's red eyes burn into K's soul.

K opened his mouth.

"I'm not done." Rias raised her hand, closing her eyes. "Furthermore. By your side is my family." K side eyed- Issa clamping her fingers into her knees. "You taking in the Fallen is not only idiotic, but dulls your argument in a fact that they killed Issa unprovoked and are willing to do the same with Asia because they possess gears that ultimately foul their plans if a war were to break out."

"And?" K let out with a firm gaze.

"Our mouths are the greatest gift in our plane of existence. Sona and I never forced your hand. There were occasions when others were involved, and we don't want to make that call. If you see where I'm going?"

"Yeah, I see."

"Issa's killer is embedded in that house, followed by two more. And I hope you and Koneko will protect Asia. And I'll be damned if you-"

"I never wanted her there." K glared.

"She's infuriated with you!" Rias raised her voice.

"I don't know, why!!"

Rias slams her hand onto the table before pointing.

"This is why!!! Maybe you can't comprehend because Asia wasn't able to restore the rest of your brain activity!!"

K bounces from the couch, pointing a hand.

"You're there, damn leader!!! Why don't you lead, princess?!"

"Because you keep twisting my arm!!" Rias rose from her. "Every chance you get!! Do you know what they do to strays?! Kiba is running amok, and Akeno seems less like herself. Who else do you want to allure with uncanny charms?!! I'll have a bulletin board ready!"

"What's going on with Akeno?" K straightened.

Rias clicks her tongue, crossing her arms.

"There you go again. Creating more problems than you want to fix them." She leans forward with a smile. "I'm sorry, sweetie, you can't punch every problem, or maybe that's what you're good at."

"Rias." K clammed his jaw, revealing his stretched veins and muscles down his neck. "I am tired of this shit. Tired of you, this hero work, Asia seeing me in her own light, and all of this!! I have three women who are older than any grandma in town who see me as an obstacle, one of them, I'm aware of our close relationship, involving a lot of touching."

"TMI" Issa croak with a blush.

"Issa, I'll throw you on this table and spank you until you can't take no more."

'Jokes on you! I'm into that shit!'

'What is wrong with you?' Ddraig questioned.

"Is this the cruelty of this reality?!" K shouts with veins showing. "Everyone too lazy to fix their own problems?! FUCK!!!" He crashed onto the couch, clenching his head. "Are these the problems you have with people?! I hate it!!!" He growled before looking up at Rias, who staggered.

Darkness covered the edges of his face as he gazed into Rias's soul.

"You gonna tell me what's up with Akeno. I can't stand the silence from you, Kiba, and her. I can't take this, not from anyone...I'll try." K leans back on the couch, his hands hanging on his knees. "Hurry up, before I add more problems to your list!" K raised his voice, making Rias glare.

"You said something to Akeno."

"Why in the hell would I? We don't talk much, only a few teases on her part. It's only been a day."

"It could be the posters," Issa adds, turning her head to Rias. "Maybe that rattled her."

"Hold on, posters?" K turned his head.

"They're plastered all over town. How can you not know?"

"Maybe because I'm losing my mind. That I can double jump or leap off from the air like I'm jumping from the ground."

"Um, okay." Issa squinted her eyes. "You don't have to be rude about it."

"I'm serious." K glared at Rias and at Issa. "It's altering what makes sense. I could be falling from the sky, and I could redirect myself. Just to fly higher or fall faster." K moved his hands. "It doesn't make sense, it never does. I glow this faint light whenever I do."

"You are a monster," Rias answered. "It's obvious."

K held his hand out.

"Rias. Please. I pour my heart out."

"No. No. Dude, you are a monster." Issa chip in.

"Stop calling me that!" K rasied voice. "What the hell is wrong with you people?!"

"Good Grief." Rias sighs, hands on her face. "You stated yourself many times. And all the facts check out."

"What?!" K twisted his face.

"The angry outburst. Obsession with Asia. The amulet: fighting your body. The second wind with Kabuto." Rias eyed K, who stared blankly at her. "You really didn't know."

K remained silent.

Issa chuckled lightly, slapping her knee.

"Wow! I see now! It's just a simple miscommunication." Issa chuckled. "This could've been solved way-." Issa stopped mid-sentence, to K's zone-out, glancing elsewhere. "Bombshell?"

"Issa." Rias raised her hand, sighing. "I guess I stride further than I thought." She glanced at K, who was staring at her. "I'm sorry for my outburst. I didn't-"

K only heard white noise.
