The Dao of Softness was much different from any of the other Daos within the umbrella of the Dao of Water. It did represent the softness that was water, but it also strayed much further away from the regular Water Daos.
If the Water Daos were to be represented by a tree, the Dao of Water would be practically at the trunk, with other similar Daos such as the Dao of Liquid, Dao of Mist, and Dao of Rain surrounding it. The Ice and Snow-related Daos would be further away, but still relatively close to the center.
The Dao of Softness, however, would be closer to the edge. It was still part of the same tree, but it wasn't similar to anything else Alex had learned before this.
So, if he wanted to learn it fully, it was going to take quite a bit of focus.
