Had Blazelight's attack not been mostly fire, Alex would've been in serious trouble. The only reason he had survived was because of his Nine Sun Robe's Second Sun: Flame Immunity.
Right before the attack had landed, he had quickly called the robe out of his Soul Space, which had formed around him in a split second, protecting him from most of the flames. The attack itself had been strong enough to wound him gravely, but he had regenerated faster than anyone else had realized.
The situation was scary, and the only reason he had been so calm was to give the audience the illusion of him being under full control at the same time. No one else was coming to save him at all, so he had to make such a decision.
Such a thought gave Alex a sense of anger that he couldn't keep contained.
He looked at Blazelight, who barely even tilted her head when giving her apology. Not only was she not sincere about it, the whole thing was a farce.
Alex let out a snort.
