The clan gathering met in the stone fire-hall two days after Drakk returned from Yohan with Tharuk and Droktagar. The hall held perhaps three hundred warriors and elders and civilians pressed together in the large space, the fire at the center the only significant light in the late afternoon grey. The smell was wet wool and woodsmoke and the specific density of a room full of people who had been arguing before they arrived and intended to continue arguing after they left.
Tharuk stood at the fire without ceremony.
