It took about 5 seconds of silence before Anthony responded to Vince's question.
When he did, his jaw tensed. "About what?"
"Oh come on." Vince scoffed. "We all know something happened between you two. You disappeared with her that night after the party at Andy's Aurora. Jeff and I literally caught you sneaking back from that hallway—"
"Vince," Jeff cut in, voice low, "tone."
"What? I'm just saying facts."
Steven's eyes narrowed slightly, though he said nothing.
Vince turned back to Anthony, unbothered.
"You had a thing. Then suddenly—nothing. And now she's sitting pretty in Steven's jet, chatting with him like she's already part of the Sy shareholders' board."
Steven shot him a look, sharp and irritated.
Vince smirked — ah, he hit a nerve.
Anthony exhaled. "Nothing's going on with Michelle."
"Well, yeah." Vince leaned in. "We noticed."
This time Anthony glared. "I didn't ask for commentary."
"Too bad," Vince replied, shrugging. "We're your friends. We give commentary."
