(Michelle Lui's POV)
By the time we all wandered back toward Andy's building, the sky had deepened into a violet-blue dusk, the kind that made the city lights look like stars scattered upside-down across the ground.
Our last night.
Our last walk home as a group in Country A.
Even the air felt different — a little colder, a little sharper, a little more meaningful.
When we reached the lobby, Andy clapped his hands like a kindergarten teacher with too much charisma.
"Alright, people! Change into comfy clothes and meet on the rooftop in twenty minutes. I've got something prepared."
"What something?" Vince asked, suspicious.
"A surprise," Andy said.
"What KIND of surprise?" Jeff narrowed his eyes.
"The fun kind."
"That tells me NOTHING," Vince accused.
Andy winked. "Exactly."
He disappeared into the elevator with a magician's flourish.
Everyone exchanged reluctant-but-curious looks.
Well… except Steven and Lara, who exchanged absolutely no looks at all.
