(AN: ok, I don't want you to be confused so I will start this chapter with Michelle's blockmates. If you recall in earlier chapters, they have been in the novel but have not appeared for a long time. Let me have a refresher here. I will post it at the end of the chapter for reference. Anyway, this is the chapter)
(Michelle Lui's POV)
We stepped inside the Microeconomics classroom.
Side by side.
Not touching.
Not speaking.
Just… walking in together.
But the moment the door clicked behind us—
The room went silent.
Like someone hit the mute button on 40 freshmen at once.
Thirty pairs of eyes turned toward us.
Then toward Steven.
Then back to me.
Then Steven again.
If a pin dropped, it would echo.
Camille's jaw dropped so fast it nearly dislocated.
Trina elbowed Trisha so hard she almost choked on her iced coffee.
Pia blinked like her contact lens malfunctioned.
Ken made an audible, reverent "Holy sh*t—" before he slapped his hand over his mouth.
And Angie—
Oh.
