Microeconomics had settled into a rhythm.
Like the hum of an air conditioner.
Like typing in a quiet library.
Like… Steven pulling out the chair beside me as if it were the most natural thing two weeks into the semester.
Because apparently, it was.
We sat in our usual seats.
Middle row.
Near the windows.
Partners for every group work and paired quiz.
It was now almost normal, meaning:

Camille waved at me from the row behind, smiling softly.
Janina whispered something to Joanie and they both snorted under their breath.
Vitto nodded at Steven stiffly, like a proud nobleman acknowledging a king.
Eduardo and Jock glanced at him with academic suspicion.
Ken (secret Andy fanboy) looked mildly betrayed but coping.
Angie scribbled something inside her notebook aggressively — jealousy never fully dies, apparently.
