We sat in our usual seats.

Near the windows.

Partners for every group work and paired quiz.

It was now almost normal, meaning:

Camille waved at me from the row behind, smiling softly.

Janina whispered something to Joanie and they both snorted under their breath.

Vitto nodded at Steven stiffly, like a proud nobleman acknowledging a king.

Eduardo and Jock glanced at him with academic suspicion.

Ken (secret Andy fanboy) looked mildly betrayed but coping.

Angie scribbled something inside her notebook aggressively — jealousy never fully dies, apparently.
