The hotel lobby was bathed in warm golden light when his entourage arrived. Marble floors reflected the chandelier above, and staff stood lined in quiet respect.
Jade and Oliver were already there.
The moment Ryley stepped inside, both lowered their heads in a synchronized bow.
But Ryley didn't slow down.
"Miss Semaya," he said immediately, voice calm yet carrying unmistakable authority, "Jade will stay with you and assist you for the meantime. I'll return shortly."
Semaya blinked, startled by how swiftly the order came. "Your Highness—"
Ryley leaned down before she could continue. He planted a deep kiss on top of little Ryder's soft head, lingering there for a second longer than necessary. His eyes closed briefly as he inhaled the baby's scent.
"Take care of him for me," he added quietly.
There was something heavier beneath those simple words.
Then he straightened and turned.
"Let's go, Oliver."
