Ryley's hands slowly tightened into fists when he heard the devil's words.
The muscles in his jaw hardened, anger rising sharply in his chest as he prepared to answer.

Ryley blinked, his vision slowly clearing until Jade's face came into focus above him. The man looked deeply worried, his brows drawn together as he held out a glass of water.
Only then did Ryley notice the interior of the hotel room surrounding him.
