Vishi smiled charmingly, her aura radiant, revealing small tiger teeth. Her cheeks had a bit of baby fat, and her lips had a jelly-like hue, yet she spoke with certainty, without hesitation, full of wickedness. Ash could almost imagine her laughing while slaughtering life.
But he still couldn't understand: "Why?"
"Perhaps you think that now I'm with you, I can rely on you, and there's no need to kill and refine souls like in the past, being willing to sacrifice any resource for power." Vishi chuckled softly, "But I've never considered you guys as a power I can rely on."
"My only sense of security is strength. Even if it's just a bit more, it gives an additional sense of safety. I will always only trust myself, no one else has the qualification to be my support."
