Niles felt the extra faith energy coursing through him feeling a little more refreshed but then was hit with a tantalizing but scary realization.
"There's gonna be a lot more people here oh my gosh , maybe it was a mistake taking more people in , maybe I'm just not cut out for this yet" Niles in his temporary place of dwelling was having a meltdown brought on by the lapse of embarrassment that finally caught up to him.
" Building an empire I haven't even got a clue and was just repeating what I heard from an old Tv show, gosh I'm such a nerd" Niles was really wondering if his powers could change something about their situation or even was on par with those who kicked him to the curb.
It was rash judgement, anger and a lot of adrenaline from going through being transported here to fighting wolves and ending up in a place where people are hunted.
If Niles were to read those fantasy stories he had seen back home about the protagonist losing everything then becoming the ultimate avenger he would say just stay away and live happily but now even if you live happily your at the mercy of those stronger since this world is ruled by strength and those who make the rules have the greatest strength.
Niles slumped into his bed facedown then asked Nuera " What should I do, Nuera I fell like I' not cut out for this heck I don't know the first thing about leading people and if I'm not people could get hurt,worse yeti die because of my decisions"
Nuera responded (Through the multiple playbacks of your memories and attitude I think you have great leadership qualities)
Nuera continued ( Those you read in history books are people who inherited those who founded their kingdoms through hundreds of times of hard work)
(But you have something even better than all those people who just inherit or get help from others to forge their own paths)
Niles listened to Nuera then said "What" Nuera then said ( The grit to reinvent, the foresight to look at the smaller matters before they become big , the willingness to take responsibility for your actions and best of yet the care you put in everything to sacrifice for the betterment of someone else)
Nuera then said her final statement ( Out of all of this you are still trying to figure out how to give these people the ability to be something more than what they are than simple prey, and through the 890 simulations you've run to allocate power to them you are still continuing, so I believe you'll figure things out learn and reanalyze to find a path)
Niles hearing these things was motivating but also scary as he was the de facto leader and needed to have the courage to guide those under him to live peaceful lives.
As one thing that he learnt in his real world to have real peace you need to show others that you have the ability to fight not only to fight but to make everyone consider losing an arm, leg or my life worth it.
Niles then got up and then decided to try his utmost best he could and then said to Nuera " Thanks for the pep talk , I really needed it, but from this I realize I need to grow up and keep digging in the dirt till I find the answer and learn that that's the way to progress"

Niles then got up and headed downstairs, still seeing the place empty and non-furnished had no time to waste and decided to head out on an exploration to see if he could make a desperate attempt at a new hope for his people.
Niles idea was to do a dna recombination with adding different genetic structures to embolden the already ready made main dna strand. The good thing though was that the genetic signature was surprisingly so similar to that of human DNA he would think that ancestors of earth found a way to travel to a new planet like this .
Niles knew thought that this might be from an biological standpoint a species deviation on an evolutionary scale as there were no viral strains found that could have caused this but more like a mutation, albeit a one that served little to no purpose than their magical counterpart cousins with only more like the ability gave them better resistance to certain things like blunt injury,sickness and others things but still need a comparison to make sure the hypothesis is correct but for now it will be left alone.
Niles was thinking out of the box and remember a case where the same species of moth lived in forest but as colonization happen many places got soot filled which led to those with alleles/genetic makeup that were darker to survive while the ones with lighter colours died but when seen a different environment where there were more light the moths with brighter colours were better camouflage.
This was basically allopatric speciation which involved natural selection from the predators for those who adapted to their environment but those who didn't were kicked off the charts completely.
Niles then thought that this is like that except they can survive in the same place with their basic cousin species the problem was that it was detrimental to their cousins species survival as it would weaken their genetic pool.
Basically in smaller terms it was fire and ice they can't mix but whose to say they can't mix with something else.
Niles was walking to the training arena that was being built and saw Buren with the trainees which were sparring with each other.
Buren especially was being fought by three of his students one with daggers at his back, and two people one wielding a spear another a staff.
Niles called Buren which he then said "Coming one moment lord Niles".
Buren wanting to finish this fight then said to his students" Come on"
The dagger wielder instantly dashed forward with a wooden dagger aiming for Buren's legs, which he then turned to look at for a brief moment seemingly changing his stance to confront but was then attacked by the spear user who took this chance to aim fast with a quick thrust at his right.
The dagger user was almost in range when Buren with his two axes used one axe on his right side to hook the spear which was held tightly by the student and then was dragged forward lifting from the ground towards the dagger user which was ready to slash at Buren's leg and was flung into the student wielding the dagger and they both crashed into the dirt together.
Seeing this the staff student easily grounded his lower body and thrusted the staff forwards but then burn used his axe ready to deflect it but then the student shifted his body weight and rotated his hips ,pivoting his foot changing from a thrust to a swing aiming for the right side of him which wasn't in a defensible position thinking he's won but Buren then smiled.
The staff sounded like it was ripping the wind and pushing it aside to meet its attacker.
Buren let go of his axe in his left hand then flipped his handling position with the axe head pointing downward which was dropped then gripped it using the handle to meet with the staff which acted as a shield then Buren's axe held by him slid down the staff reached the students next and then he said " You've lost drop it"
The student, now defeated, sighed and then said " I'll definitely win next time" he dropped his staff and raised his hands in defeat.
Buren the laughed and told them " You guys have the grit to defeat me one day so keep practicing the exercises your given and add variation to it which suit you to better fight and disable your opponent," Buren then said " Well you know what to do then when you lost more training"
The three were visibly sad knowing the grueling training was about to come due to the loser having to train, instead of rest time for those who won the sparring matches.
Buren then ran over to Niles then asked " Do you need me for anything my lord" he looked enthusiastically while flexing to show off how emboldened his physique has come from having more nutrition protein from the wolf meat.
Niles after looking at how Buren has changed for the better contributed this towards him being under his banner in the addition from the wolf meat.
Niles then said to Buren " I need to go on a little hunting excursion to capture and find some unique specimens (animals) to help in my research"
Buren then nodded then asked " Is it possible your trying to start a farm lord Niles if so we can do it for you so you won't come to harm "
Niles then shook his head then said " Its something more important thats for the progress of our future empire"
Niles continued saying " It would contribute to the growth of our people so I need to come too to see the specimens that are of interest which need to be taken back"
Buren responded " No problem lord Niles I'll assemble a small team of the top students as this will not only help you but also give them a better look at what is outside of boundary we set if you would so oblige" Buren was going to do a 90 degree bow but was stopped by Niles before he completed it.
Niles smiled and said " Then lets go post haste and no need to bother with such antics of bowing its too showy for me sometimes"
Buren then nodded then headed off to prepare which they discussed was to be done by the next day by sunrise which Niles agreed as it was safer and more manageable than nighttime.
