“We're not having this, roomie. You're not having this.” Stella declared as she paced inside the room, getting me out of another blank staring at the ceiling. She probably thought I was moping again when in fact, I was only short of sleep. I’ve been having trouble sleeping these days.
“I’m not having what?” I groaned as I sat up in bed, devoid of my usual nap. I had two more hours ‘til my next class and my library shift was done for the day. I had no paper to finish at the moment and the lack of anything to do was making me irksome.
“Are you just gonna let this go easily?” My roommate finally came to a halt and faced me, an intense look on her face.
I sighed, having lost count of how many times we’ve had this conversation. “If she doesn’t want me anymore then I can’t do anything about it.”
“But what about the ‘whats’ and ‘whys’in your head? How can you keep cool without getting an explanation?”
I kept quiet. Stella was right.
