For the next five days, after the meetings in the Council Room, Sin always left with Gion to have their sword battles and only returned the next day before lunch.
However, on the last day, after the meeting ended, he did not leave.
Taking the file with him, he walked towards the Commander-in-Chief's Office with Gion and met the former Fleet Admiral, Kong.
He smiled at the man who was tall and heavily muscular, and glanced around the office, appreciating its beauty.
Kong kept staring at him as he walked over, and then the man finally stood up and drew his hand forward.
They did not say a word to each other as they sat down, and Sin simply pushed the Golden File to him along with the Kingpin.
The man silently went through everything, and all the decisions of the Nations, and half an hour later, nodded his head.
"Where have you been going after every meeting?" He asked, looking into the Black's eyes.
"The two of us love swords a little too much."
The man did not say anything and just nodded his head.
He had already received reports about their sword battles from the Marines, and given the scale of their fights, it was not easy to keep them hidden.
"Don't leave today. You need to attend the Ball and the banquet in the evening."
"Fine."
"Enjoy your evening."
Sin nodded and stood up, and Gion politely bowed to the Commander-in-Chief before she followed him out.
As soon as they left, he picked up a Den Den Mushi and informed the Five Elders about everything that had been discussed in today's meeting.
There were devices in the Hall, and he was always listening to everything.
On the other side, Sin walked to his room, and after informing Simca and Kalifa that he was going to take a nap, he changed his clothes and went to bed.
He spread out his senses, covering the entire Mary Geoise, and listened to everything that was happening until his instincts told him to stop and he retracted them.
A couple of hours later, he got out of bed and took a bath before putting on his suit again.
When he came out, Kalifa came over and helped him wear his overcoat, and then she silently followed him as he walked out to explore the gardens outside the Castle.
"Simca and Gion are with Admiral Kizaru and Vice Admiral Momonga. They are having tea on the second lawn."
"I am aware." He lightly said and glanced at her, and she lowered her eyes, not meeting his gaze. "Go. You may see your father and little sister."
Kalifa froze in her steps and stared at his back as he kept walking, and her heart dropped.
A few seconds later, she continued following him, keeping her head down and not saying a word.
Sin arrived at the bank of the Garden Lake, and stared at the crystal clear water.
His hands were in his pockets, and he just stood there for a long while, lost in his thoughts.
"Do you love your family, Kalifa?"
The sudden question caught the girl off-guard, and her body trembled at his words.
"Don't worry. No one's listening."
She gulped in fear, and her lips quivered as she tried to form words.
"Yes."
"Would you hate me if I killed your father and sister?" He smiled.
"Yes..." she clenched her fist.
"I see." He whispered and then raised his head to look up at the sky. "Keep doing what you are doing, and remember to keep your mouth shut about things you shouldn't be telling anyone. Not even to your superiors."
"Is that a threat?"
"An advice." He whispered and glanced to his left.
A few moments later, some Celestial Dragons appeared through the woods, all ladies, who were merrily chatting with each other.
Interestingly, there were no slaves with them, but there were a few guards around, wearing Knight Armours.
He turned his face back to the lake, not paying attention to them, but they did pay attention to him.
They all stopped in their tracks, staring at him, in fascination, and when one of them glanced at Kalifa, the Rear Admiral quickly bowed in their direction.
Her heart was speeding up in anxiety, worried about what might happen if Sin was not respectful to them.
"Hey, Handsome. We have never seen you here before..."
Kalifa wanted to cry tears of blood when the Noble Ladies surrounded Sin, asking him questions as if they all now had a crush on him.
"I am not from here." He lightly said, and some of them furrowed their brows.
They looked at his crown and frowned some more.
"You are from the Lower World?" One of them asked, feeling a little unwell.
"Perhaps," he chuckled and turned to look at them, "perhaps not."
"What does that mean?" One of them confusedly asked.
"I might be from the Upper World. However, I do have a Kingdom in the Lower World as well." He said and drew his hand forward.
One of them subconsciously placed her hand in his, and he pulled it up and planted a kiss on her knuckles.
She giggled, and the rest did not want to lose to her as they presented their hands to him, and he planted kisses on all their knuckles too.
Kalifa, having never seen these ladies acting anything other than haughty and mighty, was stunned at their behaviour.
"What's your name?"
"Black D. Sin. And may I have the lady's name?"
"Saintess Nerona Amica."
"Saintess Donquixote Monoro."
"Saintess Shepherd Clarice."
"Saintess Figarland Geminis."
"Saintess Rimoshifu Rimiko."
They enthusiastically gave them their names, and then happily started asking him questions about the Upper World.
Sin calmly informed them about the Sky Islands and Avalon, which was ruled by the Black Family, and answered a few of their questions.
He then glanced at the light in the sky that was diminishing and politely excused him.
"I have a very important event to attend at the Castle. It was a pleasure to get to know you. Have a nice evening." He said and grabbed Kalifa before teleporting away with her, leaving the Celestial Dragons in awe.
"He's mine!" One of them suddenly declared.
"Mine!"
And soon a fight broke out between them.
On the other side, Sin returned to the Pangaea Castle and entered the Ballroom and the Banquet Hall.
The Black sensed that Doflamingo was walking towards Kong's Office, and he inadvertently looked towards Riku Viola, who was sitting alone at a table in the corner.
Their eyes met, and he smiled a little before he walked towards the table where Reiju was sitting.
"May I have this dance, Princess?"
The Pinkhead surprisedly looked at him, and then politely nodded her head before she stood up.
Sin took her to the centre of the dance floor, and under a sweet melody, danced with her for a good half an hour.
At the end of the second symphony, he placed his hands on her waist and lifted her before twirling her in the air, and when he grabbed her again, his face was very close to hers, and her hands were on his shoulders.
He stared into her purple eyes and smiled as he sensed her heart growing restless.
"Marry me."
Reiju blanked out at his words but still managed to keep an indifferent expression on her face.
A few seconds later, when she regained her bearings, and smiled a little.
"You can ask for my hand from my father, Your Highness. It's his decision."
"Does that mean I have permission from you to ask for your hand?" He teased her, and she was a little at a loss of words.
Reiju's heart skipped a beat when he leaned close to her ear.
"Say yes, and there will be no power in the world who can deny you to me." He overbearingly said and then planted a kiss on her cheek, which her father clearly saw.
Sin put her down on her feet, took her hand, and planted a kiss on her knuckles. He then escorted her back to her seat next to her father and silently walked towards Viola.
"May I have this dance, Princess?" He lightly asked, and she froze at his words.
"I am no longer a Princess."
"Is that so?" He smiled. "May I have this dance, My Lady?"
She did not know why she suddenly felt sad at his question, but she stood up and placed the wine glass on the table.
Viola placed her hand in his and allowed him to lead her to the dance floor.
The two of them silently danced together for minutes to come, swaying to the melody.
"Have you fallen for your enemy, Princess?"
The sudden question froze her, and she knew he was talking about Doflamingo.
Lowering her head, she burned in shame and closed her eyes when he started twirling her.
"My apologies for asking that question." He said as he held her waist again.
"There are things you have to do against your will, all to save things that matter to you." She lightly said, and he understandingly nodded his head.
They danced for another few minutes in silence.
"No one's listening."
He informed her when her heart started growing very restless, and she surprisedly raised her head and looked into his eyes.
Viola lowered her head and followed his lead as she started whispering.
"Do something for me, and I will pay you back one day."
"What?"
"My niece. She's on Dressrosa, in a district in the east. Doffy does not trust me. He is looking for her, and it won't be long before she will be found. Take her away, keep her safe. Don't do anything else or the people of Dressrosa will have to pay a dire price. Her name is Rebecca. She's eight years old and has pink hair and crystal brown eyes."
Sin stayed silent at her request.
"Please."
"Fine."
Sin agreed and then separated from her.
He planted a kiss on her hand and escorted her back to her chair.
Next, he danced with Queen Dedessinée, and afterwards, he danced with Kalifa, much to her shock.
A lot of ladies were waiting to dance with him, but he politely excused himself and sat down at the table to have his meal.
Once he finished eating, he excused himself, and asked Kalifa and Simca to head to Arabasta with King Cobra.
Only Gion followed him out of the Hall, and once they came out of the Castle, she handed him his sword.
"Where are you going?" She curiously asked, and he smiled at her.
"I don't have to tell you where I am going, Vice Admiral." He playfully said, and just when she narrowed her eyes, he shot up into a sky in a bolt of lightning.
