Robin showed a strange, unreadable smile, one that carried neither admiration nor mockery.
"That is Qarun's title, the former leader of the academies," Althera nodded slowly.
"You're going to take his place now, aren't you?"

Robin turned his head away, his gaze drifting through the vast glass walls of his residence, toward the distant stars beyond.
"No. I don't want to take another man's title. That would only expose my own pettiness. It would make it seem as if I had chased the leadership of the academies for prestige and status alone, as if I had envied Qarun and desired what he possessed rather than building something of my own."
"And isn't that true? Don't you desire prestige?"
Althera showed a faint, knowing smile.
"Even if I don't know you deeply, the love of power and glory is written all over your face. It's not something you even try to hide."
"Haha, yes, that part is true," Robin shook his head lightly, his tone honest.
