As we were unpacking jacob unpacked a bunsen burner, vials, beakers, liquid measuring devices, flowers and a syringe so he looked at me with a face saying 'are you trying to make drugs?'.
"okay it might look like i am trying to make some drugs but i am. well how to say it. Well when i got hit by the truck that sent me to a coma i was actually reincarnated and met god who gave me one wish so i wished for the gamer system and he also gave me two random abilities which were 2x regeneration and a skill that burns my blood for power. Well anyway i get sent to this typical fantasy world, i go about my day and 17 years after reincarnating as i was upgrading my mana circuitry i suddenly woke up with no powers from a coma in bed but i still have 90% of my knowledge and i was a darn good alchemist so i planned to test if some potions i know of would work here like for example with the ingredients i can get in this world i can make these potions: lesser stamina recovery potion, lesser health potion, a potion that will help with memory retention and more and i know it sounds crazy but i know that it wasn't just some weird dream it was real so can i try to make a simple stamina recovery potion to prove that i am not insane?" I say quickly not letting him talk but in a calm tone.
Jacobs face is extremely excited and he says "do it faster i am excited for the results".
I sigh in relief and get to work, jacob helps me with setting up my work station and i got to work creating a lesser stamina potion for the next half an hour i make the stamina recovery potions (10 of them), why did it take so long? well i couldn't speed up the process with magic and doing alchemy with non magical ingredients is always slower.
And when the potions were done i was 100% sure it had worked since the green liquid has the slightest of glows so i took it into my hand and said "alright it's done it's 7pm so you must feel somewhat tired after a day of hard work why don't you drink it to test it, all the ingredients i used are 100% safe for human consumption".
Jacob seems to think for a while before he agrees and drinks the 20ml vial.
"Feels like a much stronger coffee, i will happily pay for this" jacob says with a smile on his face so i reply with "well kinda but this potion also works on fatigue from workouts and stuff like that, oh and your sleep schedule might be fucked up so take another stamina potion in the morning before you go to your job and i will be creating more potions in the meantime". (A.n: the potion connor made wouldn't normally replace sleep but due to making a perfect version of the potion it does replace sleep. It also had a slight glow due to being a perfect potion)
Next i started creating more potions for for the rest of the night but this time now that i know alchemy works i will be creating it in batches of 50.
When i was done in 10 am i had about 600 minor stamina potions, 400 minor health potions, 300 minor memory retention potions (effect: retain newly created memories 100% better for 2 hours. Which in Connor's case will give him perfect memory for the 2 hours), 200 muscle "trainer" poison potions (it's considered a poison because it breaks down your muscles for a 30 minutes which has the same effect like a regular person working out for 5 hours without a break and it's deadly only if you are a regular person and have 3 or more of these in succession).
As i got done creating the last batch i went into the living room and saw that jacob was leaving for work so i told him goodbye before sitting down on the sofa, turning on the tv and putting on some anime before i drank a memory retention potion, next i drank the poison and started feeling large amounts of pain but i felt a million times worse when i drank liquid pain so this was like having a drop of boiling water fall on your skin but for a normal person it would be the same as having your genetalia in a shredder so they would most definitely pass out from pain.
After the effects wore off i drank a health and stamina potion to not feel tire and decided the best dosage for now would be 2 doses per day since i don't want to look suspicious by suddenly having the body of a chad in 10 days.
I also decided to wait to take my second dose for when jacob gets here so that he will ask me what potion i am drinking since i wanna know if he would want an "easy" way to work out but i doubt he will take it since i will tell him how much pain this causes.
After downing some memory potions and watching a fk ton of anime it 6pm and i heard jacob coming in so i greeted him and drank the dark crimson red liquid.
As expected jacob replies with "what does it do?" And i say "well it basically destroys my muscles for 30 minutes but it has the effect of a 10 hour work out without a break, it also hurts as if your penis was inside a shredder".
"want one? It's an easy work out with a bunch of pain for 30 mins" i say with a slight smirk as i dangle the potion infront of him which he soon takes into his hand.
"you sure, you will pass out?" I ask with a raised eyebrow and he replies with a slight shrug saying "I trust you so yea".
'does he not realise that he would have to take at least 20 of these to see meaningful results?' i think to myself before saying"okay but don't tell me i didn't warn you, you will probably only handle one of these before you give up due to the pain" i warn as he drinks it.
As soon as the last drop enters his body he falls to the ground paralysed and he tears up before he passes out 2 seconds later.
Just in case i gave him both healing and stamina potions at the 15 minute mark and 30 minute mark where he woke up but still stayed unmoving just breathing and trying to get over the trauma for the next hour at which point he sits besides me on the couch and he asked how i overcame the pain "easy i felt a million times worse when i drank liquid pain this is nothing" i said with an arrogant smile.
"What's liquid pain?" He asked confused so i answered him and he asked another question "did it only give you pain or some sort of bonus as well?".
"i think it would be easier to understand if i explained some of my journey in the fantasy world wanna hear it?" i told jacob to which he nodded so i explained most of the highlights of my journey leaving out some details like torturing monsters when i was enraged.
I asked jacob if he wanted another one and he declined as expected of a regular person, a bit later i made a deal with him so that i could stay at his house for free and i would supply him with health and stamina potions so he could work out in his free time without any form of exhaustion.
A few days later i gave him a proposition that if he payed me 15% of his pay every month, i would supply him with memory retention potions 5 per day and he agreed to that proposal.
For the next 5 months i decided to just do some digging on the internet while watching shows and stuff like that and made some more of the potions and train my agility and reaction time by playing bullet hell games like touhou which surprisingly i am basically a master at now even if i only played it one hour per day.
At the end of the 5 months my body was somewhat lean, muscular and i could bench press about 250kg which means my muscles are extremely dense and that also make me think that my adaptation still works slightly.
For the next 4 years i ordered quite a large sum of books on different subjects and started teaching myself them while also watching some educational videos, reading like 10% of the entire wikipedia, watching all the popular animes, reading a bunch of novels and fanfics, i also got a gun license and bought two pistols for self defence and a combat knife.
For the next 10 years i taught myself to become a hacker, mechanic, chemist, engineer, technician and tons of different stuff like how to make simple cybernetics (cyber arms and legs), how to forge equipment, etc.
Today i asked him if he wanted to go with me around the world visiting (said to be) supernatural places around the world and he agreed to it and took 2 years of vacation (he basically takes contracts and stuff to work so he can decline them and stuff).
First we rode around america for 4 months and found nothing so we went to the oldest known aztec temple in mexico and sneaked inside at night where we found nothing.
Next we went back home and i decided to order us tickets for the stone henge so we could go there the next year with special access that lets us walk among the stones.
One year later we went to england and went to the Stonehenge, there at 7pm as we were scheduled to, with basically no people besides the guards, the property steward and the two of us.
When we were escorted i instantly saw a small orb of white light floating slightly above ground so i nudged jacob and asked him if he could see that flying orb of light and as expected he replied with a "no do you know what that is?".
"No i will have to get a closer look" i said as we got closer and when i was about 20 meters away from the orb i could feel a connection that i instinctually knew was my magical power and it was slowly coming towards me.
We walked and were beside one of the rocks where the light was floating so i walked into the light ball and smiled as i felt my mana returning to me but i frowned soon as i realised i only got about 200mp and a regen of about 1mp/s.
Even if i was unhappy about this i sighed in relief at regaining some of my abilities like telekinesis, mana sight and finally my perfect memory.
I told jacob that we would go to a forest away from prying eyes and i would explain what happened so for the next 30 minutes we were just pretending to be interested in the stone henge and and we went back to our hotel and i also noticed that there was a large pillar of mana in the direction of what i assume to be egypt but that will wait for later.
At the forest i told jacob that i regained some of my powers and asked him if he wanted me to unlock his mana nodes to which he agreed as expected.
I have done this multiple times as a test in project zomboid so i know what to do which was just having some of my mana enter his body and when i was done i saw that he had the mana capacity of about 20 points which was double the amount a person in project zomboid got when i unlocked their mana which means he probably has some sort of talent for magic.
"What can i use this for?" He asked me and i replied with "well first you will have to learn how to control mana but it shouldn't take too long. After that you will be able to use your mana for the simplest of spells like mana arrow or mana barrier. after that you would have to learn how to change your mana into different elements such as lightning, fire, water, acid, and more stuff like that"
