Amaris moved instinctively toward the voice.
The ocean around her was silent and dark, yet her astral body drifted through the water effortlessly, like she belonged there. Schools of glowing fish scattered around her as she passed, their silver bodies illuminating ancient ruins buried beneath the sea.
The deeper she went, the colder the water became.
Then suddenly, violent pressure struck her chest.
Amaris gasped.
Her body froze in place as unfamiliar memories flashed inside her mind.
Blood. Chains.
A pair of crimson eyes staring at her from the darkness.
And a voice whispering softly beside her ear.
"You finally came back to me."
Amaris' breathing became uneven.
The scenes vanished as quickly as they appeared.
"What… was that?" she whispered.
The pull became stronger again.
Far ahead, she finally saw it.
An enormous structure hidden beneath the ocean floor.
