I was sent to the space rings as part of my military service. I got to see that it wasn't a ring but was shaped like a spring or a spiral. Everyone knew I was there and knew my duties. I wasn't given special treatment. I was here as just another soldier. My job was to sit on the gunner's seat and keep an eye out for trouble. Since echolocation doesn't work here I had to rely on my telescopic vision to watch out for trouble. Afterwards I was placed in the control room of the spiral. I was placed as a communications officer. I had to learn several languages. I had to learn the common language of space travels called Saggitus. I had to watch out for the Orion Corp. Since they can be a bit of trouble. Since we were immortals and we didn't have children. The senate requested that we shouldn't be involved in wars. We should stay as mediators. We still hired Synthetics to send us a set of genetically modified humans so we can change them. So basic training was no removed.
I was summoned to meet the Kaiser in Hae after I had finished my three year term as a soldier. The Kaiser was not amused. He asked why we had three royal families who rule the citizens but there is a form of equality. We are a peaceful people but everyone chose to be a soldier. I replied, "Previously we had wars that nearly ripped us in to pieces. The cause was they invoked the cast system. Vampires were superior and werewolves as inferior. They accept our leadership since we agreed to be one big family. We learn to be soldiers because trouble comes uninvited. We have been powerless as we watched families die. We don't want to lose anyone else so we chose to learn to defend ourselves." The council members concurred, "This is our way" the vampires replied, "It is known." The Kaiser asked if there was anything else he should be informed of. I waved my hand and he nod his head. I was invited to the dinner of Celestials and Cosmic royalty. They were leaders in the beauty and medical industry.
Once we returned we went to the Vampires only district. Some of the buildings looked gothic. The others had an Italian architecture. The place was made to look like it was woven from a dream. I saw the ceiling was replaced by the actual view of space. The floor was marble and the walls were made from rubies and pearls. My house was a two storey mansion and the ceiling was replaced the view of the Rosette Nebula. The walls were made of white marble and it pulsed like a heartbeat. The floor was black marble with green and gold veins. The furniture was black and red. The throne looked like it was made from light. It was on a raised dais. Just a few steps below was the council members seats. Their seats were made from bone. Below that was the rows of seats which were designated for the public. They were made from pink marble. As I sat down my family came to see me. I was pleased they were alive and they were happy to see me. I asked them to feel free to talk to me anything. The council on the other hand was more stern. They asked me I didn't replace them. I explained their rigidity compliments my softness.
A month later we went to the werewolf only district. It was divided into private residence, hotels and farmlands. We saw the private residential area was a copy and paste of the same house. I know they chose this style since they wanted a sense of normality. The streets branched out but the houses looked the same. I am not saying the suburbia was bad. It's just the repetition made it look like it came straight from my nightmare. Ad nauseam came to mind. So we wished the ones in suburban area all the happiness in the world as we were quietly diverted to the farmers sector. We saw how tourists got to experience the farmer's daily life. The houses were in different colours. They were just simple single storey houses with barnes a few feet away. I saw cattle, dogs and cats. The sky parted and I saw birds flying ahead. It was a lovely sight to behold. There was one who kept rabbits. I can tell they weren't flamboyant. Some just preferred hard work. So the houses were either small or big but they had attitude. They looked no different from the ones from earth. I guess they are homesick.
We stayed for a month and I was taken to the other half. Which was all hotels, huge shopping centres and restaurants. As we were roaming Roland had a fit when he saw a capsule hotel. It was a hit with all the tourists. There was nothing like the capsule hotel in the hotel. Which is why it was gaining popularity. The werewolf in charge name Howler knew not to book us a room in one because Roland had promised he would sue them. I wasn't really interested in them either after my first experience. I was shown a selection of hotels. The meridian hotel which looks no different from the houses from the vampire district. The next were a series of space themed hotels. One stood out as an Oriental style hotel. So I chose to stay in it. I was welcomed to the Royal Nebula hotel. It looked like a mix between the ancient Japanese and ancient Chinese. After a security sweep that took an hour I was escorted to the Imperial suite. It is one that is reserved for the monarch or their guests. Oleg noticed the living room looked like the throne room seen in the historical movies.
There were so many secret passageways. Which was my idea. I was happy playing hide and seek with the others. The others sat to watch Oleg and I. I extended my senses by accident and I saw someone about to commit murder. Security managed to stop them at the opportune moment to stop it. I politely apologised and everyone asked me to do it again. I didn't have time to register this. They said they just wanted to prevent further incidents as quickly as possible. So I extended my senses before I requested a masseuse. A woman in her forties came to take me to the spa. I walked past walls that was carved from a single Lapis lazuli. The air smelled like patchouli and jasmine. I heard musical instruments from different countries playing soothing tunes to relax everyone. I got a hot oil massage as I sensed an assassin. The Dark knights arrested them and moved along. I was taken to a tub where they covered me up to the neck with warm sand. I sensed a thief had jumped off a ship to the space port.
I was in the sauna when other guests came in. The place is segregated so only women were allowed. There was a men's section on the other side. Oleg was there and so were the others. I politely excused myself and they asked me to stay. They had never met a local. One was a jelly like being with a humanoid features. The next was coral skinned and taller. The last one was red skinned and she had blue hair. They used translators to ask questions. Serena came and asked me to come with her. The translator managed to tell them I was the empress. So they chose to follow me to my next room. I got acupuncture and fire cupping before I went upstairs. Some of them couldn't do it because they were flammable. Or the needle wouldn't penetrate their skins. I watched as a few got to try it. I changed into empress outfit and sensed around for trouble. I sat down to have tea and the hotel manager came with flowers. Oleg was growling the entire time. I had to remind him that the guy is just being nice. I am not choosing a new husband.
