262. Emperor Mo Jingqi Fell Ill
In the early winter of the eighteenth year of Great Chu's Emperor Jing, tribal groups from the Northern Territory invaded. Emperor Mo Jingqi mobilized an army of 300,000 to repulse the enemy but was defeated. Only 70,000 to 80,000 remnants of the elite forces survived, fleeing in disgrace. Within a month, Great Chu's garrisons retreated from several cities. The Northern Territory army chased them all the way to Zijing Pass in the north of Great Chu, now only four hundred miles from the Capital of Great Chu.
