In an instant, a brilliant golden-red light erupted from his body like a rising sun mixed with blood. The light spread outward in waves, lighting up the ruins of the research base.
At the same time, a terrifying devouring force was born.
It spread in all directions with overwhelming momentum, like an endless abyss opening its mouth. Spiritual energy, blood mist, shattered stones, and even the chaotic aura in the air were all pulled toward him.
The devouring force spread faster and wider than anyone had imagined. Other than those scattered things, the corpses on the ground started to tremble as well. Dead warriors, broken bodies, shattered limbs, and even the twisted remains of the human–beast hybrids were lifted into the air. They were pulled toward the center of the golden-red light without any resistance. Flesh, blood, bones, and even lingering soul energy were all swallowed.
