Originally, Shard considered directly invading this house, but since the owner was a Vampire Kind with etiquette, he thought it best to be polite.
After some inquiries in the vicinity, he learned that Mr. Ptolemy Albert, the house's owner, worked in a morgue which wasn't in the Moon Bay City Police Department or a hospital, but rather in the Lower District. This area generally dealt with unclaimed corpses from the Lower District and bodies hauled from the Taton River; if the police department received too many bodies at once, they would also let them handle the examination and dissection.
Speaking of Vampire Kind Diviners, Shard immediately thought of Mr. Orlen Wilson, whom Mr. Benhart introduced during the Pantanal incident. The latter was pursued by the Pantanal Voodoo Society because he held a Relic Dagger.
While Mr. Benhart was taking Shard to meet him, they encountered Mr. Sean Asmon, the "Demonologist," at the tavern where he was hiding.
