After speaking, the person on the other end stopped, waiting for further instructions.
Natalie Jennings couldn't say a word—once she opened her mouth, they'd know it was her who answered.
The person waited more than ten seconds, started to get suspicious: "President Sheffield? President Sheffield?"
"Uh…he's in the shower," Natalie replied. "Call back later."
The call was hung up in a split second.
She was about to put the phone down when Hayden Sheffield walked out of the bathroom, saw this scene, and barked harshly, "Who said you could touch my phone?"
"Just helping you answer a call. It kept ringing—I was worried it might be something important."
He snatched the phone from her, scrolled through the call log, face gloomy: "What did you hear?"
"The person only said one thing, The Featherwing Alliance has intel," Natalie asked, "What is the Featherwing Alliance? Your intel group?"
"That's not something you should be asking about."
