Then the young boy replied with a cold smile, "It is nice to see that mouth of yours is still as active as ever, Yamikani. Teresa's jaw dropped at Farhan's words, but Yamikani quickly replied once more, "Hahahahaha, there's no need to worry about me, my dear Farhan, I already have a plan for that!"
Farhan smiled once more and said, "Very well then, take a seat, Yamikani, or perhaps you wish to stand for the rest of the meeting?"
"Oh, heck no, I am too tired after walking all the way to this place!" Yamikani finally sat down, and Teresa breathed a sigh of relief.
Farhan then continued, "Now then, let us begin tonight's meeting, shall we? First of all, I have some bad news to tell. The Outsiders have started their siege on Sandiago's fortress. Based on the intel I have received, Urvi Marielle is there, so chances are it will take only a few weeks until Sandiago's Fortress falls. Another news I have received stated that our forces on the northern front are being heavily outnumbered by The Outsiders. At this rate, we will have to take action ourselves; the battle is lost. The same could be said for our current sea battle in the southern sea. General Natalia Flavia has proven herself to be quite a threat as she has sunk over 20% of our ships and has gained control over Boniface Island. Finally, the Follower of The One. They do not possess any real threat as in right now; however, they are still a thorn that must be cut down. I have received intel stating that instead of getting demoralised by the monster's death, they showed even more resistance in Melani City, so congratulation Yamikani, you just made the monster a martyr."
"Hey, you want the monster dead or not?" Yamikani said, slightly annoyed.
"Anyway, Lord Morgan, how is the situation with the frost giants from the north? If you require assistance, I would gladly lend you some of my men," Farhan asked, looking at a woman with ice-white hair and pale skin. The woman seemed to be uninterested in the meeting and took her time to reply, "It is not a concern at the moment."
"I see, that is good then... I suppose you are still not happy with our decision regarding the monster?" Farhan looked at her for a while before gazing at Lord Maxwell, who seemed to be thinking of something else. "You two aren't planning on creating any friction over the decision, are you?" Farhan said with a threatening tone.
Lord Morgan Silvia ignored Farhan's statement completely. Lord Maxwell, on the other hand, chose to reply, "I have my own opinion regarding the decision, but no matter how much I believed in it, I will respect the decision of the council. That is all." Farhan smiled at the response, "That is good, after all, we will need our forces to be united if we wish to win against the outsiders."
"I couldn't agree more!" Yamikani said as he stood up, "Since I have killed the monster, I think it would be fitting if I were the one to kill his followers as well. So I will be dealing with the Followers of The One. I shall be on my way then," Yamikani laughed and walked out of the meeting.
"Wait... He is such a nuisance. How could a lord act with such low dignity!" Teresa yelled out. "Well, at least he actually does something this time; he doesn't even care about what is happening to anything outside his territory," one of the lords, wearing dark green armour, named Lord Khurshid, spoke as he stood up. "I shall take care of Urvi Marielle since Sandiago's fortress is closest to my territory." "I shall assist you then," Lord Maxwell spoke.
"I... I shall help repel the northern outsiders," Teresa spoke. "And I shall eliminate Natalia Flavia," Lord John finally spoke.
"All right then, I suppose the rest can help restore stability, now that the hunt for the monster is over, the hunters must be put back in their places. Thank you, everyone. I look forward to our next discussion."
The lords all left the table and proceeded to the exit, except for two of them. "Lord Jeremiah," Farhan called, "Do you believe that the monster is dead?" Jeremiah looked at Farhan, he has been closing his eyes throughout the entire meeting, and he finally opened his eyes. Colourful lights began to be emitted from his eyes. "No, Yamikani is playing games with us right now."
"I thought so too. Unfortunately, we do not have the right cards to fight him just yet."
Jeremiah was silent for a few moments before finally speaking, "Then we must prepare for war."
