Chapter 28: The Forbidden Hero

After school, Toru brought me to an animal café in the mall. I was drinking my latte shake while she played with a cat.
It looked like the cat was confused as she kept lifting it up.
Meow~
"Nyan~ Nyan~ Nyan~ Kyah~ How cute!"She cuddled with it.
"Look, Ichika-kun! It's really cute!"She showed me the cat's lazy expression.
I just smiled at her, which made her freeze.
After that, I walked her near her home.
"Thank you, Ichika-kun! I'll be fine from here."
"Okay."
"See you tomorrow!"She waved as she ran toward her apartment.
"Yeah."I waved back, watching her enter the building.
Once the street was empty, I leapt high, landing on the balcony railing of a nearby building, then jumped onto the roof of another tall one.
I arrived at the tallest building in the area, the city stretching out before me. The strong wind wasn't enough to push me off.
"It's true... I didn't lose my superpowers in this child form. The drawback is still the same… it strains my body to the point of causing minor muscle injuries."
I jumped down into an alleyway without anyone noticing, then began walking home.
As I passed by a branded clothing store, I remembered I hadn't bought any new clothes since that incident.
I turned around and entered the store.
Inside, the store clerks looked at me in confusion.
I smiled like an innocent kid."Onee-chan, may I ask where the kids' corner is?"
"Eh? Oh, it's over there," the female clerk replied, pointing.
"Thank you, Onee-chan!"I headed straight there.
"Ha~ How cute," I muttered as I looked through the clothes.
On the other side, some ladies were picking out dresses. When they noticed me, I smiled and waved.
"Aww, how cute~"They waved back.
Then I spotted a shirt in my size and admired the design.
"I think this is—"
Bang! Bang!"THIS IS A ROBBERY! DON'T MOVE!!"
"Kyaaaaaah!!"
The women and clerks panicked.
Bang! Bang!"I SAID DON'T MOVE!! OR I'LL SHOOT ALL OF YOU!!"
The chaos stunned me.
"ALL OF YOU, COME OUT!! OR I'LL SHOOT EVERYONE INSIDE!!"
"Huh?"
I saw the women coming out of the changing rooms in just their underwear. They hadn't finished changing when the robbery began.
One of the masked robbers dragged the women into a corner.
"These girls are hot. What a waste…"He ogled them, lust in his eyes.
The women trembled in fear, trying to cover themselves.
"Hurry up!"
He slapped one woman on the butt.
"Kyaah!"
"STOP SCREAMING!!"
The women began crying.
I crawled silently to the women's dress section, frowning as I saw the clerks tied up and the robbers drooling over the half-dressed ladies.
"WHO'S THERE?!"
There were five of them.
One of the robbers spotted me and pointed his rifle in my direction.
I retreated and crawled into one of the dressing stalls.
(I guess I have to try that.)
"Shazam!"
Zap!
Thunder struck me. I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror.
My face had matured, and my body transformed into that of an adult.
(I'm tall… and ripped.)
As I looked down, I realized something.
"…Huh?"
There was one big problem.
"That Goddess!"
I remembered what she had said after fixing my ability:
"I hate that costume!"
Now, in front of the mirror, I was completely naked.
"Just because you hate the costume doesn't mean you should leave me naked, you sh*tty Goddess!"
"HEY YOU!! GET OUT OF THERE OR I'LL SHOOT!!"
One of the robbers was right outside the cubicle.
I looked around. The only thing on the floor was a pair of pure white panties—clearly worn by one of the ladies.
I picked it up. It was… fresh.
(Should I wear this? No! They'll see my face while I'm in women's underwear! It's too embarrassing!)
"I SAID GET OUT!!!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
(Sht! Such misfortune!)*
When the robber suddenly burst into the cubicle, I panicked—and shoved my face into the panties, using it like a mask.
He froze, shocked.
"A-A-A-A pervert?!"
"Whose fault do you think this is?!"
Ugh!
I launched a powerful uppercut and sent him flying.
He crashed into the shelves.
"Who's there?!"
When the others noticed, I jumped into the men's section, trying to grab a pair of boxers. I tumbled on the floor as bullets rained down.
Rat-tat-tat-tat!
I looked at what I'd grabbed—A white brief.
"...Is this a coincidence?"
With no other choice, I wore it.
I stood up with my back facing them and glanced over my shoulder.
"A pervert? What is a pervert doing?"
All their guns were aimed at me.
"I'm not a pervert... I'm Hentai Kamen."
I said it in a cool tone, but I was dying inside.
(I already want to die.)
"SHOOT HIM!"
Gunfire erupted.
But with my enhanced reflexes, the bullets slowed in my vision. I caught them in my hands.
Click! Click! Click!They ran out of ammo.
I opened my hand and dropped the bullets to the floor.
The remaining robbers were frozen in shock.
Before they could react, I was already in front of them.
"Hie!"
I jabbed one in the face—he dropped instantly.
Another swung his rifle at me. I caught it by the butt and smashed an elbow into his face, knocking him out.
The last two turned to flee, but I grabbed them both by the neck.
I slammed one onto a table—unconscious.
"My quirk! Why isn't it working?!"
The final robber panicked.
I leaned in and whispered in his ear,"Never come back. Understand?"
He nodded desperately.
Thud!
I slammed him to the floor, hurting his back.
After checking that everyone was safe, I ran out of the store with super speed.
In an alleyway, I tore off the panties mask, panting.
"I'm never doing that again!"
Poof!
I reverted back to my child form and headed home.
"Ahh! That was so embarrassing!"
Looking at the white panties in my hand, I hesitated.
"...No! I'm not a pervert!"
I tossed them into a trashcan.
