"I'll take the outsiders with the energy weapons, you take the locals." I said to Luke.
"Got it." He replied.
Luke then picked up the pace and crashed into the local gang, dishing out punches and kicks after he did.
The sounds of the gang members bones breaking, and their weapons betting crush, music to my ears.
"What?" Tombstone cried. Until he turned to face me. "Spider-Man!"
"That's my name, don't where it out." I said. Firing off several electro web bombs at the weapons Tombstone men were carrying. My webs disabling them, and shocking his subordinates. Stunning them for a few seconds.
Just enough for me to reach them. Once so did I used my HUD to rotate the web cartridges in my gauntlets back to my original webbing and then began immobilizing Tombstone men.
"Stop the bug! I want him squashed, now!"
Only for old Tomby to call for an attack on me a minute after I began taking down his men, Tombstone himself leading the charge as he ran at me and began throwing punches.
One I easily dodged.
"So I gotta know, what do they call you? Chalk-man? Whitey? Oh, yin yang? Get it? Because your skin is pure white and your suit is black?" I quipped.
While still easily dodging Tombstone punches, and webbing up his subordinates and their weapons.
As for Luke he already had the local Harlem gangsters on the run.
"The names Tombstone spider!" Tombstone shouted, increasing the speed of his punches.
"Tombstone?" I pretended to question. Lightly tapping a finger against my chin as I still continued to dodge Tombstone attacks and web up his subordinates. "Well that name doesn't make any sense. Unless your a funeral director of course. Wait, is that what you actually do?" I jokingly asked. "If that's the case then mind explaining to me what you're doing out here trying to kill people, unless the funeral business has become that competitive?"
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!!!" Tombstone cried.
"No can do Tomby. My words are one of the most important part of the old Spidey package. Including kicking the asses of criminal like you." I said.
I then deployed my spider arms and used their tips to pierce both of Tombstone palms and fnd top of both his feet.
For although the bastard is strong, and his skin tough, it isn't tougher than Adamantium.
Which all four tips of my spider arms are directly made out of.
"Agh!" Tombstone screamed as my spider legs pierced them. Then spread him out into an X shape in front of me.
"Quit whining you big baby, I didn't pierce anything viral just now." I explained. "Besides, with your abilities your hands and feet will be healed in no time."
Not to mention what doesn't kill you makes he stronger so in essence I am doing Tombstone a favor right now.
"Fuck you." Tombstone said.
"Language!" I cried. Then like another certain red-colored menace I slapped the bitch of Tombstone, knocking him out cold.
Just as I did Luke arrived at my side.
"Looks like you're done." Luke said.
"That I am." I replied.
I then retracted my spider arms, allowing Tombstone to fall to the ground.
Once he did I webbed him up.
Then after I webbed one of the energy weapons and pulled it to me. Then once I had it in my hands I used my HUD to analyze it, instantly finding similarities to the designs of one Phineas Mason, whom disappeared from the public scene close to two decades ago.
Well, at least now I know how Tombstone and his cronies got ahold of this type of weaponry.
Just as I did I heard police sirens in the distance.
When I did Zira turned to Luke. "Looks like that's our cue to leave."
"Don't have to tell me twice." Luke said. "Oh and thanks for the help Spider-Man."
"No problem." I replied. I then took out one of the business card I had Spinner make for me and handed it to Luke. "And if you're ever in the mood for another team up, then just call that number." I explained to him.
I then turned and ran, webbing out of the aea.
The energy weapon still in my grasp.
Reaching a secluded roof I began examining the weapon, both physically and with my HUD, to make sure the weapon didn't have any hidden surprises. Like a tracking device.
But seeing none of that I got on the move again.
Ready to do a more in depth analysis of the weapon, back at the Web.

My mask off I sat in a chair at one in front of one of the Web's terminals.
The weapon I brought back on a work table.
Where Spinner and the Spider-Bots were analyzing it.
Which I know I said I'd do but I changed my mind after thinking about my meeting with Luke.
Namely the fact that if he, and Daredevil, are currently active, then how many other heroes are currently running around NYC?
I mean Gwen and I already met Cloak and Dagger.
Doctor Strange is already Sorcerer Supreme.
So with all that in mind I began doing some research.
As I did I found that Frank Castle wasn't active yet, and that his family was thankfully still alive.
But that was sort of a given seeing as how Kingpin wasn't in prison, and a massive shoot out between gangs in Central Park is definitely something I would've heard about.
Then again with all the twists and turns I've already observed and encountered in this version of the Marvel universe I'm not just going to rest on morals.
So of course I'll continue to keep an eye on him.
Moving on from the future Punisher, I learned Jessica Jones is active, but currently only as a private investigator.
Meaning she's already met that piece of human shit Kilgrave.
Who thankfully isn't David Tenant in this universe, since I've seen some British Television shows with him cast.
I've also learned that Daniel Rand, also known as Iron Fist, and his lover Colleen Wing are now kicking ass. Wondering how in the hell I missed the heir to a major corporation returning from the dead.
Then again this is Marvel so, yeah.
But back to my point.
All the Defenders are active.
But not only them since while looking into active heroes I've learned incredibly that Moon Knight is currently active in New York.
Along with the heroine Tigra of all people.
Makes me wonder if they're already dating like they did in the comics.
As I pondered this, and a few other thingss, an idea suddenly came to mind.
When it did I immediately began typing on fnd computer, creating a new file.
[Defenders Initiative]
For the more heroes unite to battle against evil the merrier.
"This is gonna be fun." I mused.
A grin appearing on my face.
