"What do you think of that owl, Misho?" Maia asked as she ate skewered Forest Wolf meat.
"I think it's a special boss of some kind," Misho replied. He drank from his cup of water.
"Why do you think it went for the dehorned Cream Rhino?" Pear asked.
She had the question in her head for a long time now. She found it to be strange.
"How could I know?" Misho asked her as he shrugged.
The owl unsettled him. Remembering its coldness and the way it treated them sparked a feeling of inadequateness in him. It was like it didn't think they were worth its attention.
"My guess is that it went for the easy meal," Maia answered.
"Hmmm…"
Pear held her chin in thought.
"Master, you did good!" Flora suddenly said, changing the topic.
"Good?"
"You scared off the horde, right?"
"You're right, Flora. Thank you."
Misho reached over the circular table and patted her head.
"Fhmmm… Hehehe." She purred like a cat.
