"Sato!"
Just as he was about to reach the door of the Third Division of the First Investigation Department's Violent Crimes Investigation Office, Aizen saw Miwako Sato walking over from the other side, obviously heading back to her office.
"Aizen, what brings you here?"
Seeing Aizen, Miwako Sato was surprised and happy at the same time.
Aizen smiled and said, "I came with the children."
"The children?"
Miwako Sato asked in confusion. As they spoke, the two opened the door and entered the office of the Third Division of the First Investigation Department, specializing in rapist crimes.
Upon seeing Miwako Sato enter, Wataru Takagi exclaimed, "Officer Sato!"
"Officer?" "Is this big sister an officer?" "Wow, that's amazing!"
Seeing the surprised looks on the three children's faces, Aizen smiled and said, "Officer Sato is a very capable officer."
Miwako Sato looked at the Detective Boys and said, "Aizen, are these the children you were talking about?"
Aizen nodded and said, "Yes, they are. Last week, when they went camping in the wilderness, they stayed at the Blue Castle, and they solved the case there."
"Oh, it's them?"
Miwako Sato looked at the Detective Boys in surprise and smiled, "You guys are amazing! Keep up the good work!"
"Yes!"
The three members of the Detective Boys responded happily.
Aizen glanced around the office and asked, "Speaking of which, why are there so few people here today?"
"Because they've all gone out. They're dealing with the bank robbery in Beika Town three days ago, where 200 million yen was stolen,"
Takagi Wataru replied, then looked at Sato Miwako and said, "Officer Sato, why are you back? Weren't you with Inspector Megure at the investigation headquarters providing assistance?"
"I came back because of this case,"
Sato Miwako said. "The bank manager who was robbed yesterday said he suddenly remembered something, and he called last night to tell me. He also wants me to meet him here today, saying that he and his wife will come together at 2 PM."
"Why do they have to come together as a couple?"
Conan asked, puzzled. He was very interested in this kind of thing.
Sato Miwako smiled and said, "Because when the robbery happened, the bank manager's wife happened to be at the bank, and the perpetrator even held a gun to her head. I think maybe the bank manager suddenly remembered something."
"But that's strange!"
Takagi Wataru frowned and rested his chin on his hand, "Why did the manager's wife call me last night? She said she wanted to talk to me about the robbers and that she would come alone at five o'clock."
Sato Miwako said, "The manager mentioned that on the phone too. He was worried that the robbers might harm his wife, so they wanted to come while it was still daytime."
"So that's why they wanted to come together."
Takagi Wataru nodded and didn't say anything more.
"Officer Sato, I've brought the manager of the East Capital Bank!"
Just then, a police officer stood at the door, followed by a middle-aged man.
Sato Miwako turned around and said, "Thank you for your trouble, please come in!"
The officer saluted and left, and the middle-aged man walked in.
"I finally made it!" The middle-aged man exclaimed, then glanced at his watch.
Takagi Wataru, seeing this, asked in confusion, "Um, didn't your wife come with you?"
The middle-aged man replied, "My wife had some business to attend to at the bank, so we agreed to meet here. Why, hasn't she arrived yet?"
"Yes!"
"That's strange!"
the middle-aged man said, looking at his watch. "Is she still sleeping?"
"By the way, could I borrow your phone here?" the middle-aged man pointed to the phone on the desk not far away."Please use it!" Takagi Wataru nodded.
The middle-aged man walked to the table, picked up the telephone receiver, dialed a number, put the receiver to his ear, and then looked at his watch.
"Three times!"
Ai Haibara suddenly exclaimed.
"What?"
Ayumi Yoshida, standing next to Ai Haibara, asked in confusion.
Aizen squatted down, smiling at Ai Haibara, and said, "Ai, you have such good observation skills. She said this person looked at his watch three times after coming in. Ai, you're amazing!"
"Hmph!"
Ai Haibara glanced at him, snorted softly, and turned her head to the side.
Ayumi Yoshida looked at Ai Haibara, then at Aizen, and said, "..." Ai, did Aizen-nii make you angry? If so, don't be angry. Aizen-nii is a very nice person."
"That's right, that's right. Aizen-nii often treats us to food."
Genta Kojima nodded in agreement. In his opinion, Aizen-nii, who often treated them to food, could definitely not be a bad person.
"Shh!"
Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya shushed her, whispering, "Genta, keep your voice down, someone's on the phone."
"I'm not angry, you've mistaken me."
Ai Haibara smiled, knowing she shouldn't involve the children in adult matters; she didn't want these three kids to misunderstand.
"Huh?"
Ayumi Yoshida looked at Ai Haibara, then at Aizen, convinced she hadn't misjudged.
"You've mistaken, how could Ai be angry with me?"
Aizen smiled slightly, reaching out to ruffle Ai Haibara's hair before standing up.
If the three members of the Detective Boys hadn't been there, Ai Haibara would have definitely slapped Aizen's hand away, but with them there, and having just said she wasn't angry, she could only endure it, letting Aizen pat her head.
"Ahhh!!" 'A woman 's terrified scream rang out from the phone. Takagi Wataru was talking to the middle-aged man's wife when the man snatched the phone away. Takagi accidentally pressed the speakerphone button, so everyone nearby heard the voice.
After the scream, no matter how much Takagi called out, there was no response. Everyone knew something must have happened to the middle-aged man's wife. Sato Miwako immediately called Takagi Wataru to come with her, and the middle-aged man naturally went with them.
