She looked as innocent as a prey tamed by a hunter. He chuckled softly and released her.
She immediately moved away from his lap, turned around, and tried to open the car door. Unfortunately, the door was locked tightly, and no matter how hard she tried, it was to no avail.
He seemed to anticipate her reaction, leisurely watching her try every means to escape, a smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
When she realized the car door wouldn't open no matter what, she turned her head and coldly stared at him. "Let me go."
He loosened his tie, leaned back in his seat, and looked at her lazily yet gently, "I told you I wanted to start over with you, so from this moment on, I won't let you leave."
Alice replied indifferently, "Chester, I don't know what madness has possessed you, but I can't start over with you."
Chester didn't care about Alice's cold reaction; he remained calm and composed, "I just need ten minutes of your time to explain some things to you."
