Cloud again sighed out of relief to see Remia start to breathe calmly, proving that the stone had managed to completely seal the wound, or at least had managed to get Remia's heart back to "normal", or at least as normal as possible if they counted the fact that she had an extremely powerful magical catalyst.
"No, this is good for her, you could say it's a blessing in the midst of a difficult time..." - Cloud said, though that didn't take away from the fact that he was furious. If he hadn't regained consciousness, or if it had taken a minute or more, Remia would have died of exsanguination.
Cloud shook his head before stroking the pale woman's cheek as he used the activator stones to create a barrier.
After making sure she was perfectly protected, Cloud looked at the rest of his companions.
Shizuku was fighting Kaori, while Yue and Shea were attacking Tio.
Cloud frowned as he released some of his mana.
Kaori and Shizuku were the first to react, so they quickly looked at the blond, who seemed to be furious.
Shizuku frowned because she didn't like the idea of stopping, but her expression changed when she saw how Remia was "asleep" inside a barrier next to the blond. Quickly, she regained consciousness, only to realise how stupid she had been, and though she was still furious with Kaori and the others in the group, her reasoning was enough to realise that later would be a better time to talk about this.
Kaori let out a sigh of relief because if she was honest, she was a little tired because she had been dodging as best she could, after all, she didn't want to fight with her best friend, though she quickly put this aside, after all, she could sense that Remia was having a dangerous time, so she flew over to where the blonde was - "Cloud..."
"She shot herself in the heart, I managed to stabilize her and get her out of danger, but it will take a while for her to fully recover, unless you speed things up with your holy magic" - Cloud said as he looked at Shizuku with a frown, not because he was annoyed with her, but because it was obvious that she had been influenced by the entity that had appeared in his thoughts.
"Cloud..." - Shizuku said ruefully.
"I know, we'll talk later, in fact, I should have done this a long time ago," Cloud replied as he nodded in the direction of the black-haired girl. He understood what was going through the girl's mind, and it seemed like he had been a jerk - "I'd like to apologize first though"
"N-No, you don't have to" - Shizuku replied as she felt her emotions stabilize.
Cloud nodded before walking over to where the three strongest girls in the group were standing.
Yue, Shea and Tio seemed to detect the presence, so they quickly gave him a glance.
Yue frowned as she concentrated her magic in her hands.
Shea tightened her grip on the hilt of her hammer as she activated her physical enhancement to the maximum.
Tio was the only one who seemed to be fully conscious, or at least in perfect control of her emotions.
Cloud prepared to speak, but his expression changed slightly when he saw Yue appear in front of him with her red eyes.
His eyebrow twitched slightly before he reached out and caught the vampire girl, only to throw her against the ground, creating a huge crack, which it was obvious he couldn't contain for long, though that wasn't necessary because it seemed that Shea had taken this opportunity to sink her even deeper into the ice. The rabbit girl had hit the momentarily paralysed vampire with all her might, and then looked at Cloud with a frown.
"What was that you heard?" - Cloud asked as he tried to catch Shea, only for Shea to jump back at great speed with a single bound.
"I don't know, but that strangely seductive voice" - replied Tio as she appeared next to the blond - "Though I don't mean seductive of exciting, but more like it was strangely convincing"
"I know, I heard it too, it's possibly a monster or an ancient god sealed deep within this place, possibly why this area is immune to gods intervention" - replied Cloud seriously.
"I see, I guess the other areas must also have this kind of seals, or it's possible that they are much older prisons than we thought" - Tio mused as she turned her attention back to Shea.
"Cloud... that hurt..." - Yue said as she stood up from the crack she had been trapped in. She had blood running down her lip, though it quickly disappeared, showing that the only apparent damage was to her clothing.
"Yue-san, I guess we'll have to work together to take Tio-san out of the game" - Shea said disdainfully as she looked at the vampire princess.
"Tch" - Yue clicked her tongue because she honestly didn't like this idea, however, she had to admit that Shea was right. With Cloud in the mix, eliminating Tio was much more difficult - "Okay, I get it..."
Tio frowned slightly as she could feel how the hostility of her two companions seemed to have increased, possibly because Cloud was 'supporting' her.
"Dude, I want you to restrain Shea for a few minutes, I want to do something with Yue, and don't worry, this won't take long," Cloud said calmly.
Tio gave him a look before nodding.
Shea clicked her tongue when she saw that she had been pushed aside, though she quickly returned to her apathetic expression.
Yue frowned, but her pupils constricted as they watched Cloud appear in front of her and send her flying with a punch to the stomach - "Haha!"
"Sorry, Yue, but this is the quickest way to separate from Tio and Shea," Cloud said honestly as he ran in her direction.
Yue gritted her teeth before doing a half-turn in mid-air so that she had a better posture. She quickly used her gravity magic to slow down and land gracefully, only to shoot an annoyed glare at her beloved - "You could have told me to follow you"
"I know, but I'm sure you wouldn't have listened to me, not with all the hatred I can feel in you" - Cloud replied as he shook his head - "Anyway, I want to know what it was you heard"
"The truth, something I've been ignoring all this time" - Yue replied as her mana started to spiral out of control - "Something I didn't want to see, even though I had my eyes open"
The blond dragon remained silent as he waited for the vampire girl to continue.
"Cloud, I love you, I want you, I want you to be mine alone, I want your heart to belong to me completely" - Yue said as she began to cry blood - "But that's impossible, because I'm not the only one, no, I'm not even the one who's most important to you"
"They're all the same, there's no one more important than the other" - Cloud answered as he shook his head.
"And that's what bothers me!" - Yue roared as she glared at the blond angrily - "Why can't I be the one who has the most place in your heart, why can't you show me that you love me, that you need me, that you won't betray me!"
Cloud let out a sigh before walking over to the vampire girl.
"Stay away!" - Yue roared as her red eyes seemed to glow with evil.
"Yue, I can't do that, because I'd be lying to you..." - Cloud said as he continued walking.
"Then do it! It doesn't matter if it's fake, I want to feel like I'm special, and not just another one of the bunch!" - Yue exclaimed as she launched a flurry of elemental attacks.
Cloud didn't dodge, he simply continued to move forward as Yue continued to launch magical attacks.
"I told you to stay away!" - Yue roared as she launched a huge ice stalactite - "[Freezing Arrow]!"
Cloud grinned in response before being hit directly in the stomach.
"!" - Yue reacted when she saw the blond's blood flying everywhere - "You idiot! Why didn't you dodge it!"
Cloud didn't respond, he simply walked as if nothing had happened.
Yue began to tremble before bursting into tears.
No matter how many years passed, she still experienced the fear of losing her loved ones, she still feared for the day she would be betrayed again, locked in perpetual darkness, begging for salvation - "Cloud..."
Cloud arrived in front of the vampire girl, and gave her a weak smack on the forehead, not because he didn't have the strength to hit her more firmly, but because he wanted to make her react - "Idiot..."
Yue looked up as she watched the ice stalactite slowly shrink thanks to the blond's internal heat, though that didn't mean it hadn't left no damage on the young man.
Blood was still running from the blond's wound, though his wound slowly began to close thanks to his enormous vitality, and that was the reason why he hadn't dodged the attack, because it wasn't life threatening.
"You may not be the person who holds the most space in my heart, but I can't believe you think you're not important to me, or that I'm going to lock you back into the abyss..." - Cloud said as he shook his head, as if he was looking at the stupidest person he had ever met.
