The Doyle Family higher-ups heard the news as well. They were shocked and immediately contacted their spies stationed at Crystal City. They wanted to know if the news was true or not.
Soon, the spies confirmed the news. After making sure the news was indeed coming from multiple sources, they contacted other families.
A high-level meeting was quickly convened.
The status of Vincent Carey was different than before; they couldn't openly target him now. Their target was an official member of the Silver Tower.
He had joined the White Silver faction as well, and that faction is known for protecting its own.
The faction also has an elder-level powerhouse. If the matter were escalated to such a level, then the Mage Union would get involved.
So, they had to discuss it among themselves before taking any action. However, the Doyle Wizard Family wouldn't forgive Vincent Carey or stop taking action against him.
