Weiss had already anticipated the result the moment the Innkeeper said that he does not interfere with his workers' relationships. If he had known, he would have approached things differently, but he was not too disappointed. Even if the relationship had not been established, Weiss gained a deeper understanding of the Innkeeper, and now knew how to deepen their relationship if that was what he wished.
He found the way the Innkeeper operated quite unorthodox, but then again, such a thing was to be expected. In this day and age, the only Dao Lords who formed and operated their own, independent organisations were those who could not adjust in the setting of other, preexisting ones. Considering the large number, and variety of such organisations, it really required someone out of the norm to still choose independence.
