"How come you two came back together?"
Ryder Sharp wasn't stupid. Sydney Sawyer had been gone for so long, and now she was holding a little rabbit; he could guess what she'd been up to. He was just asking on purpose.
"We, uh, just happened to run into each other," Yancy Hale said with a laugh, then looked at the person sitting next to Ryder Sharp. "Hey, man, you're here too."
The man responded with a soft hum. When his gaze met Sydney Sawyer's, he stood up. "Hello."

"Hello," Sydney Sawyer replied, nodding and smiling at him.
