Chapter 411 - Chapter : 302 : Moment Of Destruction

The bombardment continued to surge forward at terrifying speed, giving the enemy no opportunity to react. From the nearest ranks to those farther away, the Demons were fearsome opponents, but their numbers were limited. Confident in their overwhelming strength, they had gathered closely together, completely underestimating their enemy. That single mistake created the perfect conditions for the bombardment to unleash its full killing potential.

Not a single spectator dared to blink, afraid of missing even the slightest detail. Within only a few seconds, the sea of ice crystals expanded at an astonishing pace, rapidly engulfing everything in its path. In the blink of an eye, the frozen storm had spread across a radius of nearly one kilometer.

Within that kilometer-wide battlefield, the Demons stood densely packed. At a glance, there were hundreds of them. After all, only a thousand had been deployed for this battle.

The terrifying speed of the bombardment, combined with the Demons' arrogance and lack of caution, left them with no chance to evade. In an instant, countless white ice crystals enveloped their bodies. Normally, a thin layer of frost coated their dark forms, but this was entirely different. The Demons caught within the icy barrage were frozen solid from head to toe, transformed into lifeless statues of crystal-clear ice.

The entire battlefield had become a frozen kingdom. Frigid winds howled across the venue as snowflakes danced through the air, blanketing everything in dazzling white. Hundreds of Demons stood motionless, resembling an army of exquisitely carved ice sculptures.

Kanna, Jörn, Jeffery, and the others stared with widened eyes, their faces filled with disbelief; even the well-informed Volkmar could not conceal his surprise. A terrifying race of Demons whose combat power was so overwhelming that even the Golden Dragons struggled against them had actually been brought down by a single wave of Froststorm bombardment. The innate ability of the Frost Ice Spirit was far more terrifying than anyone had imagined.

"The Frost Ice Spirit possesses an extremely unique ability." A Level 3 Planetary Lord, whose knowledge rivaled that of Kanna and Jörn, explained calmly. "It is one of the very few species whose killing ability is this overwhelming."

The crowd silently nodded in agreement. The Frost Ice Spirit had always maintained a relatively low profile. Although it was recognized as a Super Peak species with frightening innate talent, its signature ability had rarely been displayed in public. As a result, its reputation had never reached the same level as the Ice Moon Spirit.

Only now, after witnessing this astonishing scene with their own eyes, did everyone truly realize how terrifying this creature was. In terms of strategic value, it could even surpass the Golden Dragon. After all, while other species could partially fulfill the Golden Dragon's battlefield role, the Frost Ice Spirit was irreplaceable.

"The Frost Ice Spirit's Froststorm is an indiscriminate attack that ignores conventional defenses," the Planetary Lord continued. "Whether the target possesses thick fur, impenetrable scales, or an incredibly durable body makes no difference. More importantly, regenerative abilities are almost completely ineffective against this power. For a certain period after being struck by the storm, enemies lose the ability to regenerate while continuously suffering damage. Once their vitality falls below a critical threshold, the storm will instantly finish them off."

The Level 3 Planetary Lord clearly understood the Frost Ice Spirit better than most as he described its abilities and characteristics with remarkable precision. Everyone could plainly see the horrifying effects of the ice crystal bombardment. Against Supernatural creatures, its destructive power was nearly unmatched. As far as anyone knew, there were virtually no creatures capable of resisting it head-on.

"At least to my knowledge, no creature within our area has ever been able to withstand the Frost Ice Spirit's ice crystal bombardment," the Level 3 Planetary Lord added.

"It truly is an incredible ability." Sergey, who also possessed considerable knowledge about the Frost Ice Spirit, nodded in admiration. "The only weakness is that preparing the ice crystal bombardment isn't easy. If the enemy is already on guard, then..."

Iris continued his thought. "They can escape the bombardment zone," she said before pausing briefly. "Furthermore, the Frost Ice Spirit can only unleash a bombardment once within a relatively short period. In other words, during a single battle, it only has one opportunity to use this attack."

"If it didn't have those limitations..." Sergey chuckled. "Then what chance would the other creatures have? The Frost Ice Spirit would probably be considered a Demigod-Level species."

"This time, the Demons underestimated the Frost Ice Spirit's ability, and they're paying the price for it," Jeffery said with a satisfied smile.

"Not quite," Iris replied, shaking my head. "The Demons themselves are still alive. They've only suffered heavy damage and been frozen in place. Given enough time, they'll eventually recover."

"They'll need support from our other species to finish the job," Jörn added.

The others immediately turned toward Sebastian. Regardless of how the battle unfolded, only Sebastian possessed the authority to issue the decisive command.

"If there are no objections," Sebastian said as he swept his gaze across the group, "begin the counteroffensive against the enemy."

He paused before asking, "How many Demons were caught in the bombardment?"

"332 in total," Iris answered without hesitation.

Sebastian nodded thoughtfully, and his eyes settled on Augustus, Sergey, and Baroque. "That leaves fewer than 700 Demons still capable of fighting. Are you confident?"

At the same time, everyone else's attention shifted toward the trio. The Wine Pandas, Bear Warriors, and Golden Dragons would become the spearhead of the coming assault.

Although more than 300 Abyss Demons had been frozen in place, the remaining forces were still extraordinarily dangerous. It was impossible to determine which side truly held the advantage.

One thing, however, was beyond dispute. Even if their alliance ultimately succeeded in defeating the Abyss Demons, they would undoubtedly pay a heavy price for that victory.
