It's been 5 hours since he had seen the pop-up message. He spent most of that time resting and once he felt his stomach grumbling he opened those Bento they sell in the convenience store he worked at.

'I found something out when I was resting it seems that this is that System like on those Webnovels I read before. If my guess is correct the requirement to unlock this is to kill a monster, or was it already I kock beforehand? But my wounds miraculously got healed when I finally killed a monster. it was called a "Goblin" It's information about its species just popped out of nowhere after I killed it,'

'I don't know if this is good or not I never played a game before, I've only read a portion of System novels. The fact that most of them didn't show anything about stats is a little tricky, I didn't think the end of the world would be such a cliche theme. This makes me feel like all of my worries are tossed out in the window if we have a fail safe that'll help us to survive,'

"I got 10 points on Hp Def and Stamina it'll be helpful for tomorrow," Rei puts out the fire he created inside the cave before he heads to a deeper part where he placed a ton of leaves for him to sleep in.
As the sun had risen Rei emerge from the deepest part of the cave, making his way to exit where he sees the Goblins knife along with a teeth

"What's this?!!" Rei grabbed the material lying down near the place where the corpse of the goblin was supposed to be

"Dang so that's why it didn't do much at the monsters" Although the Knife was underwhelming he kept it and left to search his environment.
'After I leveled up... I can see information about anything that I focus my mind on myself a thing or even a living being. I can see their names and stats but their names and skills remain blank,'
He walks closer to a nearby trees, after cutting a few branches, he began placing them near the cave's entrance. This allowed the opening to be unnoticed unless a monster grew so ever curious and push aside the branches.
"Before I go and level up I should focus on finding two things first Food supply, second Freshwater. I need something to fill my body, even if I level up what's the point if I ended dying from starvation. Clean water is also something that I need, my water bottle only has a few milliliters left till it's empty,"
Hunger was inevitable, so instead of going back to the center, Rei took another route to find anything to eat. He went and scour the Northside of the forest there was nothing but rocks and Animal-like monsters. In the west side there was a pretty thick forest, he was about to head inside and explore but soon as he got a little closer his sharp sense activated. A message popped out from his view made by his skill saying Danger nearby!!!, after that he didn't go any further his exploration looked like it was a bust but after he entered the Eastside he heard running water, and as he reaches the clearing, he found a river near an open lake and some boars near it were drinking peacefully.
"Finally water!!!"
He ran as fast as he can shoving his face right at the river, drinking like an animal that haven't seen a body of water for ages. His joy was short live as something beneath the lake approach the river bank. When it looks like he wasn't about to worry for any nearby monsters he suddenly sensed a shiver throughout his body indicating danger. He jumps out of the water before the sensation got any stronger and a second later he saw something come out of the water hitting the direction he was drinking before.
"Holy shit that could have been me"
After that Rei grabbed his knife and stabbed the tail before it goes back from the water soon after he stabbed the tail a ton of bubbles were continuously flowing out from the river. A large amount of water burst from the river, a scalh head of a monster came out, its appearance looks like a snake
"Hissss!!!" The monstrous snake pulled its tail which would've sent him flying to the river if he didn't pull his knife at the right time, he landed near the river
"Analyze!!!" The system starts to analyze the monster's information which only contains a level along with its superior stat line

The monstrous snake launched its tail at Rei's direction with an incredible speed that was faster than his eye. Due to his sharp senses he was able to sense the direction of the attacks making him dodge. Its tail got stuck in the rubble, giving him a little bit of time to counterattack, but suddenly he felt the same shock from before which forced him to dodge when the tail bend over after it escape from the ground and struck his blindspot leaving a cut on his right hand.
'This is serious! That could've been my neck if I didn't listen to my danger sense. I could really die if I do anything rash,'
He received a graze but that never stopped him from thrusting his blade before its tail could leave his range of attack. After this subtle exchange of attack, he got back up he notices that his vision was getting a little too shaky. Hiis body burning up and his cut grew swollen, he could feel something was wrong
'What is this? it feels like im dying,'

"You got to be kidding me right now whoaaaaa!!!!" Rei dodges the monsters tail that aimed to sever his head
'Ughhh my head hurts.... no!!! focus Rei! You need to focus, your eyes are no good how about we trust that skill for once?'
After he got a little bit of his consciousness back from the hallucinations he had been getting from the poison, he closed his eyes. As his vision grew wobbly and a few headaches one after the other, he didn't waste any time thinking it through and shut his eyes and trusted his senses. He entered a state where he could only trust his senses to survive maintaining this for 3 minutes at best, but what else he could do if everything else can't work?
"Time to activate my ultra instinct,"
He dodges the attacks aimed for his leg to his arm, although it kept him alive, dodging was disadvantageous. He holds his knife and bet his life once the stimulating shock was at its highest level he takes a few steps to his right and swung his knife through the direction where he felt the most threatened, damaging the tail in his gamble, he did this process over and over and over again.
When it was almost complete the last attack made his senses shiver through his spine it wasn't the same feeling he had before it didn't tell him to move a little or bend his body it was telling him to
"Run?!!"
Run as he did he opened his eyes to see the monster spitting some strange fluid from its mouth, shortly after, the solid rocks melted from this liquid. When the fluid was closing at him making him jump but as he did the snake had launched its tail that struck him in the chest before he got sent flying to the ground.

He ran through another place near the river to avoid its poisonous breath, the snake blindly followed Rei. The snake was preparing for another breath, but before it could spit its poison he jumped at its head stabbing it with both his knife and the other one he had gotten from the goblin. The snake screamed in pain. As it flails its body to knock Rei out, his knife was too deep to be pulled out just from a simple shake he kept hanging onto them for dear life, until the snake had finally run out of stamina tired and wounded the snake lost to Rei due to it being too vulnerable to his attacks
"Sigh... Finally, it's down I thought I would have died for sure but I pulled through to the very end," Rei lay down in the grassy field away from the river which made him cautious if another one were to emerge.

"Mid-tier so it can even go higher. Good thing I brought two bottles with me one for poison and one for water," After he had killed a nearby boar and collected some water for today and tomorrow there was only one thing left to do before he leaves.
"It was great knowing you but you have to die for my growth. Be grateful that you're helping a kind person grow," Rei stabbed the snake through its eye as its loud breath that had once been heard slowly fades away after its screams echoed throughout the forest.

After he obtained the item drops, he's now back to his humble man cave roasting the meat he hunted and placing the items he had gotten.
"Hmmm the boars' meat smells cooked I should take it out now," Rei takes the meat away from the fire.

"Worth it bluargh," Rei pukes out the meat along with the rest of the poison, he never thought that he'll gain some visitors this time around. A swarm of Goblins entered his cave, one of them pulled out an arrow which he dodges thanks to his skill before he gets back in his feet and grabs the remaining untainted meat that he ate to regain his strength
"Goblins what the hell are they doing here?"
