The vortex was a swirl of black, inky smoke, spinning rapidly. The howling sound was produced by the swift wind. Through the slightly lighter areas of smoke, you could see inside, where countless large, clawed things resided.
Although it was hard to discern what exactly these creatures were, their massive size and grotesquely twisted forms were enough to make one's scalp tingle.
"What the hell are those weird things!" Mo Haihao cursed.
Shen Cang said solemnly, "They are interdimensional creatures. We can't let them invade; we must destroy this vortex."
In a certain sense, this vortex was more like a kind of teleportation array. Once the vortex is broken, the transmission is disrupted, and these creatures would die in transit, left to drift in the endless dark.
