The next morning greeted the General's procession with a cold wind placing a lid on all the previous excitement of arriving at the Wang family house, though they hadn't reached their destination quite yet.
Da-Xia huffed and stared out the window, "When are we going to get there?!" She cursed, staring at the walls of a town they didn't expect to encounter on their journey.
"Don't be so loud you idiot!" Bingwen scolded and pulled her back into the carriage, then flicked his sister's forehead cautioning her.
Using both palms to cover her forehead, Da-Xia turned her focus to Mei Deng, who was studying the maps stolen from the bandits to pass the time.
"Bàba! See he hit me again!" She cried pulling Mei Deng's attention.
"Only because you're being too loud in the morning!" Bingwen retorted, folding his arms across his chest he went on to say, "You should be like the other girls, they're calm and have good manners." he said referring to the servant's children.
