With Empyrean Oceanheart and Vaan working in unison, applying pressure on both front and back, the horde's complete eradication was just a matter of time.
Although it was also a million-strong horde of Undying Fiends, its overall strength was actually slightly worse than the previous horde. This was rather surprising, considering the new survivor group was clearly superior to previous ones.
That said, even with inferior strength, such a horde would have spelled the doom for any shelter–if not for the timely intervention of Vaan and Empyrean Oceanheart.
Generally, in the face of any group of Undying Fiends, the primary instinct among survivors was to flee.
This was especially so when the scale of Undying Fiends reached the horde level.
However, none of the survivors found themselves sticking around to watch Empyrean Oceanheart's valiant and majestic battle in the distance.
With every kill, the women cheered with excitement, while the men analyzed in shock.
