"How do you know that, Ciel?" Isiah inquired, hoping to understand where the child had acquired such specific knowledge.
"I just know! I JUST KNOW!" Ciel replied vaguely, waving his hands.
"That's not a very straightforward answer. You must have learned it from somewhere, right?" Isiah pressed, genuinely curious.
Ciel fell silent as they continued walking toward the dense forest near Isiah's house. Once they arrived beneath the shade of the trees, Ciel immediately wandered off and began to gather wild mushrooms from the damp soil.
Isiah, well-versed in botanical survival and knowing exactly which forest fungi were safe to consume and which were lethal, observed the child's careless actions. It was instantly evident that Ciel possessed zero foraging knowledge, mindlessly plucking whatever toxic mushrooms he stumbled upon.
