Jacob stared at the passage where Alexandra had disappeared while his burning eyes were filled with silent rage and regret. He had come extremely close, so close that even he had begun to believe he could actually kill her.
But she had escaped because of an oversight, and his fingers slowly tightened.
Jacob's gaze remained fixed on the passage as his voice was cold, "Even Starfall isn't enough..."
A terrifying killing intent slowly spread through the treasury.

Jacob knew right now Alexandra was most vulnerable, and this was a chance that might not ever come, so he instantly thought about pursuing her by entering the mysterious passage.
