A sea of fire roared far below, monstrous beasts wailing as the flames consumed them.
Dragons swooped down in formations, raining torrents of flames. Their great claws tore through the gigantic beasts, ferocious roars shaking the skies.
Riders released arrows on forlorn beasts invading the skies, keeping them off the back of their dragons. Wielding magic shield artifacts the mages had cast to protect the vulnerable parts of the battling dragons.
But the forlorn charged in overwhelming numbers. For each one taken down, there were ten more to take its place.
