Killian turned around as soon as he heard Ryn's voice and was about to deal with the siren, but Iris beat him to it. He was stunned for a moment after hearing what she'd just said, staring at her blankly before a smile bloomed on his face. She used to be uncertain about their relationship, but now she was willing to declare openly that he belonged to her.
However, much to their surprise, the siren that Iris just cut had regenerated and healed its wound with a sickening squelch. Iris narrowed her eyes in annoyance as the flesh mended itself, the wound closing like a wound in water. The siren bared its teeth, her long fingers digging into the wood, splinters flying as it prepared to strike again.
"Give him to me!" She hissed at Iris. "He's mine."
"Keep dreaming!"
