Chapter 1 - THE MURDERER

It was a pleasant, peaceful day, and it was raining hard. Manjiro was having dinner with his family when suddenly their house was set on fire. His mother hid Manjiro and his two twin sisters inside a secret chamber. He heard the sounds of shouting and swords clashing. Peering out of a small hole, he saw blood on the wall and his father's head roll down the steps. Then he saw a man, almost seven feet tall, a giant standing in front of the house. His sword was like a saw, with a unique design etched into it. Behind him were ten more figures—one samurai, four girls with knives attached to their hair, one who looked like a dead body, three men with long katanas, and a man whose hands burned with blood-red flames. His parents were killed. They stayed quiet, as they were told not to make a sound. After some time, the rain doused the fire. Manjiro emerged and saw the devastation. Watching his parents' bodies, he was speechless—confused, filled with rage. All these mixed emotions made him burst out, swearing to take revenge. Suddenly, he heard his sisters calling him. He rushed, hugged them, and the three of them fell asleep.

In the morning, they buried their parents' bodies. They were about to leave the house when they realized the chamber had another door inside it—one that led to an underground route. They followed the route and came out to an ancient cave filled with cherry trees. They decided to stay there for a while.

The siblings loved each other; they started living a new normal life—until his two sisters were taken by a group of thugs. Manjiro, powerless, was beaten badly and passed out. In his dreams, he saw a mysterious bright purple eye calling his name: "Manjiro… Manjiro… oh, pitiful boy, so weak, so helpless… you can't even save your sisters… you just watched your parents die, and you can do nothing." Manjiro's rage turned to flames. "Shut up! You know nothing about my family. Who are you? Show yourself!" The voice laughed, "Hahaha! Oh boy, I know everything about your family. Your father was the one who sealed me here, in this cave, for twenty years. And only his blood can break this seal. You need this power? Then take my hands and break this seal, and I will give you a power you never imagined." Manjiro rejected the offer, but he was desperate for revenge. The spirit knew it. It decided to give Manjiro some of its powers. Suddenly, cherry blossoms engulfed his body, making him regenerate and forming a pink blade.

The sky turned black and cloudy. The thugs tried to sell Manjiro's sisters as slaves. Suddenly, it began raining again. One thug saw a petal of cherry blossom in his hand and was confused. "Hey, Boss, is it cherry blossom season? I've got a petal in my hand." The boss scoffed, "Idiot, it's rainy season. How much did you drink?" But as he turned, a splash of blood stained his clothes. A petal floated in the air, and in a blink, his body was split in two. The others ran, but none survived. The rain turned into a blood shower. The sisters were terrified, and suddenly, their brother appeared—like a ghost, cold, his eyes filled with bloodthirst, a petal of cherry blossom trailing behind him. The once gentle rain became a sinister downpour, soaking the earth red. The thugs lay still, their shadows swallowed by darkness, and the only sound left was the swirl of cherry petals in the storm.
