Looking around, Xiao Ying spotted a bathroom and decided to go in it; he wanted to see what he looked like with his armor on.
He walked inside of the bathroom and looked around until he found a mirror. He then put on his armor before looking at himself.
'Awesome!' He thought.
In the mirror, staring back at Xiao Ying was a figure in black leather armor. It was light armor and didn't seem to weight much; one could tell that it favored mobility over protection, but it still offered some protection.
The figure wore a hood that matched the leather armor, as well as a mask that covered their mouth. The only feature of the face that could be seen were the eyes; in Xiao Ying's case, however, once could only see the whites of his eyes as his eyes, like the armor, was as deep and dark as an abyss.
On the figure's waist was a black sheathe that reflected the light shining on it, with a hilt matching the sheathe. In the hilt's pommel, there was a ruby, glinting in the shadows, like a one eyed beast from hell.
Unsheathing his weapon, the dagger resembled a blade born from shadows, as if it was the Bringer of Death; the Apostle of the Shadows.
'I look so badass!' he admired himself.
After a few moments of admiring himself, Xiao Ying decided to go to the Contract Hall and register for a contract.
A few minutes of walking later and he found himself in front of a building that seemed to reach the ceiling of the underground cavern; it was the Contract Hall.
The Contract Hall was a huge circular building made of grey stone. It had no windows at all, and two huge doors that must have been the entrance.
On those doors, was a being, much like a skeleton, in a large flowing black robe with a scythe made of bone. It depicted a reaper of lives; the Grim Reaper.
There were many people walking in and out of the Contract Hall, most likely turning in and accepting contracts.
Deciding to go ahead and go in, Xiao Ying walked right through the doors.
The inside was pretty dark and gloomy. On the walls of the tower, there were many papers pinned up with information on them.
Toward the far end of the tower, there was a large staircase and on the wall beside it, there was a humongous "1" engraved into it.
On on another side of the tower, there were counters with people sitting behind them that seemed to be "customer service" in other words.
'I guess I'm supposed to go to go select a contract from the wall and bring it to the counter? I have no idea where to even start. Maybe I should go ask someone at one of the counters anyways.' Xiao Ying decided.
Walking up to one of the counters with no people lined up in front of it, Xiao Ying asked for help.
At the counter, a there was a person reading a book; however, he couldn't tell whether it was a man or woman because they wore the same armor as everyone else. It seemed those that occupied this city had all joined the Shadow Assassin Sect.
"Could you tell me how to accept a contract? I'm new here." Xiao Ying asked in a deep voice.
Without even looking up, the man explained, "Go to the wall, pick a contract, and bring it back. Hand over your identification card and if you're qualified for the job, then you'd have accepted the contract."
Continuing, "To complete the job and get the reward, you have to bring back proof; your target's head."
The person then pointed to different areas, "That section contains contracts with minimum requirement of Early Physique Tempering Phase. Over there are jobs requiring a cultivation base of Mid Physique Tempering Phase. There, Late Physique Tempering Phase. And finally, there, Peak Physique Tempering Phase."
Finally done explaining, the person shooed Xiao Ying away before he even got to thank them.
'I guess that person must have gotten tired of explaining that to new assassins like me,' Xiao Ying figured.
He then walked over to the section for Mid Physique Tempering Phase Cultivators and browsed through the jobs.
' "Kill my neighbor who offended me" no not that one.' Xiao Ying went through many jobs of that nature.
Suddenly, he read one that made his eyes and aura turn cold. It read:
"Kill this man who raped my daughter. Reward: 5 silver"
'I think I'll take this one.' Xiao Ying thought, clenching his fist.
He ripped the contract off the wall before taking it to the same counter he went to to register for it.
Emanating a cold aura, Xiao Ying icily said, "I'll accept this contract."
Not even bothering, the person held out their hand and said, "Contract and identification card."
Handing in the items asked for, he nodded.
"Mid Physique Tempering Phase. Crimson Shadow. Okay, you're registered for this contract."
Grabbing the contract and his identification card, Xiao Ying disappeared from the Shadow Assassin City without saying a word.

On the contract, it described a location that was not too far from the Goldenbell Orphanage. It must be where the rapist is.
Xiao Ying made his way to the location. When he reached it, he stood in front of a house. It wasn't that big and all of the lights were off.
Walking up to the door, he snuck into the house, without making any noise. It seemed as if houses in this world doesn't have locks.
'The man is probably cultivating at this time of night, so he's probably in the bed room.' Xiao Ying determined.
Sneaking up the stairs, and into the bedroom, Xiao Ying saw a middle aged man on the floor cultivating. He was outside of the man's perception range, so the man wasn't alerted.
'This is the one I let go the other day!' Xiao Ying thought, his blood boiling.
'So Elizabeth wasn't the only one this man tried to rape!'
In a rage, he used "Traceless Shadows" and unleashed his aura, rushing toward the man. The impact and familiarity of the aura jolted the man from his cultivation.
"Who's there?!" The man screamed.
"You, who have sinned, has been sentenced to death by the Crimson Shadow. Now die for me." An emotionless, glacial voice laced with cold rage rang out.
Before the man could do anything, his head was taken off. A flurry of blood sprayed everywhere.
In the room, there was a window with moonlight shining through. If one was to look into the window, they would be startled to death by they saw.
In the moonlight, a figure with piercing black eyes wearing black armor drenched in blood stood there with a bloody dagger and a head whose features contorted in fear.
One could tell that person did not die a peaceful death.
"May the victims of this sinner rest in peace." A voice was heard.
In the blink of an eye, the figured disappeared from sight; however, the blood did not.
After killing the man, Xiao Ying returned to the Contract Hall again to turn in the contract and get his reward. As the head was handed in as proof and he was given his 10 silver, a panel appeared.
