It's been 3 days from the day me and Gerrad fought. I still feel uneasy about being here because my senses are just not able to adjust yet. But I have grouped with Faye so that is a plus for me in this condition as we started to know each other more.
"Just because you are resting doesn't mean you don't have work." said Faye.
I didn't heard her because I was diving in my own thoughts.
Suddenly I felt a sensation of pain close to my jaw and I snapped out of it and then I realises that Faye just slapped me.
"Wait! what are you doing? Why are you hitting me?" I asked.
"I was speaking for almost 10 minutes and there was no reply from you. If you are going to daydream just because you need some rest doesn't mean you are free. You need to prove yourself capable of being here you know right."Faye replied.
"Yeah I didn't forget about it." I replied.
Well you might have know that I got a position in the group under her leadership. So I have to go on as much as I could.
"So what do you want to tell me?" I asked.
"It was regarding our first mission." said Faye.
"Mission. What kind of mission?" I asked.
"Our mission is to secure a place as another safe house for us because there are many people here and it won't be possible to hide everyone." Faye replied.
"So our beloved King just wants to expand his kingdom. Are we going back to the era in which kings ruled over entire countries or something." I said.
"It is also a test so be prepared for it. Their might be people or monsters in that area. And if there are people... then it can get messy." said Faye.
"Why do you think so that if there will be humans-" I asked.
"Because humans are our enemies too." said Gerrad.
"Come on. Show some honour and give me some air of privacy. Wait a minute. Why are humans our enemies?" I said.
"There are not just us surviving so no one will be so generous to let there place go like that." said Gerrad.
"But if we know that there are people then why we are invading that area in the first place?" I asked.
"Because we need that place. Our job is to complete our mission." said Gerrad.
"Just wait you two. Davis, Gerrad is right on this, but not completely." said Faye.
"But-" said Gerrad.
"Let me deal with my subordinate." said Faye.
"Yeah whatever. As you wish." Gerrad replied with a disappointing expression.

"It is true that we might be- but we give them a chance. If they can willingly accept and come with us, they can stay with us in return for their base.
But it is not the case every time. People protest against us so we left with no other choice than to attack them." said Faye.
"So it is true that you... have you killed-" I asked.
"Yeah. *hands shaking* It still sometimes haunts me." Faye replied.
My chest was still feeling heavy while listening but... I can't deny that I have done the same. Not exactly- but I understood her feelings.
"*sigh* Don't need to explain that you are innocent or-" I said.
"But-" she said.
"I know there might be a reason behind your action and not just following that Kings orders." I replied.
"And what if... I did it-" said Faye.
"Then I just need to be careful not to come in your way." I replied.
"I'm still against killing humans so not for killing them but to convince them I can help you." I said.
"You really are not mad after hearing that." asked Faye.
"Everyone on this planet is dirty. No one has there hands clean. And in a situation like this, people can't keep their minds stable. I suffered from that myself." I said.
"You might have witnessed someone's death or you might have seen someone horrible that drove you to kill them." I replied.
While I was saying all this, Faye was shaking a little bit. Her heart was pounding hard as I was able to hear it a little. Her breathing was getting unstable, yet I continued to talk.
"By looking at you, I can say it was someone close. It's alright. You can keep it inside... I can't deal with anymore sadness whatsoever." I said it with a smiling face.
It was to make her feel comfortable, but I was totally wrong about her. And as I said this she burst out.

"It was my father." Faye said in a low voice.
I was just looking at her. "What-" I said.
"It was my father dammit. You can laugh about your dead ones but I can't." Faye said in an emotionally frustrated state of mind.
"I never-" I said.
"I thought you would understa- *tears falling* I thought you would." said Faye.
She was completely different from what I imagined of her. She is more like me, who suppresses everything for a long time and just burst out when we are at the limit of controlling our emotions.
"I never said that. You know that well how I was... when I was narrating everything to you all. You ever thought how I felt at that time. " I also replied in a frustrating voice.
"After hearing your story... I... I was not able to control my emotions for 3 nights. That scene was coming back to haunt me." Faye replied while wiping her eyes.
"*smiles* You can tell me. If you want too. I am a good listener... *to myself* of pain." I said
*** Flashback ***
"I lost my family to a gang because of some dispute. That people were threatening father from time to time but he was not falling for them.
I always asked him that, why those bad guys keep coming to our door? My father never told me the reason and always made some things up to avoid it. As I was just 10 at that time, so not much about them I knew at that time.
But one terrible day, I forgot my bow as I joined archery when I was 10 years old. I saw them getting my father into their car.
I was curious so I followed them. I followed them to a deserted apartment where I was hiding near the wall. I was trying to listen on what they were saying so I got closer. At that moment after what I listened. It just broke me completely.
The leader said "Good. You did your job. Now kill your girl too or die yourself."
My father's reply just tore me apart. He said that "I done what you told me. I killed my wife for you, now please you can't keep on demanding things just because you- You can't do this."

"Father, where is Mother? She is been out for two weeks now. I can't leave alone." I asked my father and every time he replied with something like "she will be back soon."
That guy killed my mother to save his own skin and now he was going to kill me for the same reason.
While all this was going on I accidentally stepped on a stick and was busted. One guy pointed his gun at me and fired.
I closed my eyes with that sound. I could hear multiple gunshots and I was so afraid that I was stunned completely. My body was paralyzed as I was only able to hear and not able to react at all. Suddenly, everything went silent, and I tried to open my eyes slowly. For sometime I was only able to see everything in red. So I wiped my eyes and their was no one at that place except a dead body with... with the face filled with bullets.
My whole white dress was turned red because of all that blood. I still remember that face. There was 17 bullets shot right at his face. My body just stopped working. I was not even able to blink my eye. My brain was not able to process what just-
My whole body was numb and my eyesight was darkened completely. When I woke up I was in the hospital, and when I asked about myself there was no one who was there to tell me. When I asked for how long I was in here? they replied "You were brought here by someone and he just left. You were here for past 3 months."
I was in a coma for approx 3 months and I just forgot all the memories. I felt like I was freed from everything and I have seen through everything. It was like a multiple personality inside of me which I know. That's why I completely dissolved my previous personality and took this new name 'Faye' and started my new life.

"That was some... So what was your previous name-" I said.
"I don't know and don't care." Faye replied.
"It was a tragic story. So did you took your reveng-" I said.

Yeah. Thanks to this situation. I was on mission to eliminate a stronghold which was interfering with our work. So I was a lieutenant under Gerrad at that time but this incident changed my status from that to the 'Monster Girl'.
As we reached there we argued about it but then I was the person that killed my father. At that time, my whole past which I buried in the depths of mind suddenly surfaced and took over me.
The negotiation didn't went as planned and a fight broke out. I was so taken over by my rage at that time that I killed 10 people just so I could reach him. Before that I had never killed a person in my life.
I just pierced my arrow through people's eyes in order to reach him. He started running but I was faster than him. I reached closer but he pushed me down. He took a lead but I shoot my arrows right behind his knees. He fell down and I causally walked towards him.
He was groaning, and struggling to even move or stand, and I was just standing there looking at him with a smile.
I pulled out one arrow from his leg and pierced two arrows right at that spot. He was screaming like no other and I was just looking at him without a single word.
I pulled out another arrow and was closing towards his face and he was begging for mercy, but I could not hear a single word that he was saying and I plunged my arrow right into his right eye.
He screamed so loud that everyone thought of it as an explosion. He was tearing, he kept on screaming but I didn't stop. I took his knife and with that... with that slowing... I pulled his eye out of it. He was screaming his lungs out. He was screaming at the limit of his vocal chords. His scream was the scream of a dying animal and because of that screaming his vocal chords ruptured. He was still trying to speak something but no words were coming out of him.
Even after all that I was not satisfied because he was still not dead. With all this screaming the monsters took the smell of the blood and two monsters came raging towards us.
Everyone was shouting to bring me back but I was still not satisfied. I saw both the monsters coming and I jump over the building while living him there to be eaten by them, but I also didn't wanted him to became one of them. I wanted to give him more pain that's why I lured them in, and while following me, they just thrashed over him which made me feel so much better.
I was still not in my normal state so I jumped over the monster and pierced 3 arrows right into their eyes which made it unable to see.
I shot 10 arrows back-to-back towards the both monster while being on the head of the first monster which killed both those monster.
Both monsters fall and the last thing I remembered before that raging personality leaving me was his body being decimated completely. With that I smiled and that personality left me and I fell on the ground.
After that I was back to being myself and I was promoted to the higher rank where I am now.

I smiled when she looked at me after telling me everything.
"You are smiling after-" said Faye.
I had a smiling face while tears flowing through them. I just don't know but by hearing her voice while telling all that. I... I just couldn't stop myself.
I saw both my parent's faces in front of me which I met a long time ago while living here.
"I think you should not stick with me. I... I might put someone in danger." said Faye with her sore throat.
"Why would you say that?" I said.
"Because I am not strong. I was not able to control myself and got overboard while killing people just to kill that one guy. I... *gulps* I can't guarantee anyone's safety because I... I... am not strong enough." Faye said in an emotionally frustrating voice.
"You are wrong. *with a smile* You are strong because even after all that, you were able to start a new life at such a young age. Even after killing him, you stood back up and saved many and killed many monsters all this time. You are a high ranker so you can't back down now." I replied.
"Don't you dare talk about-" said Faye.
"LEADER! please give me an order. *deep breathing* I can't do anything without your strength. You are the one who gave me this new life so I can't just let you lose yours." I replied with a strong voice.
She was still tearing but wiping her tears off too.
"You kept that smile of yours over all those depressed moments so you can control them. You are not weak. Nor mentally, and not physically either. " I said.
"*Deep sigh* I think you are write. I can't keep on dwelling in this dark past anymore. I must move on because in this world, I have to survive." Faye replied in low yet relatable voice.
"That's more like it." I said while wiping my tears off.
"I'm feeling much better now that I threw everything out of me. Haaa! I'm feeling so light right now." said Faye.
"I... I'm glad to be of any help." I said in a low voice.
She slaps her face with both of her hands and said out loud... "Let's do this now. We will do everything we can to survive."
"Are you sure about killing huma- I must stop from picking that topic again." I said in a low voice.
"Are you sure about going to this mission? " I asked.
"Yep there is a worry because that place is filled with 5 of those monsters and no humans. So we can't stay here for long because slaying monsters is our task, you know." replied Faye.
"Yeah right." I said with a smile.
That face, that smile she had after telling me about what have she gone through is priceless. She is just like a better version of me. I sometimes keep on dwelling into the past but that gives me strength too, but her strength is that she just lives everything behind and comes back to her original self.
"Just two more days of rest then you are coming with me and my group. Alrighty then take care." said Faye.
She is so charismatic that I want to be like her. She can bring a dim person like me into the bright light where I can be left alone by all this dark past of mine.

"So you think you can be close to her by doing this." said Gerrad.
"Come on... were you listening on us again?" I asked.
"I heard only the end part where she told about how she killed that guy. I don't want to know about her past or anything. I just want her to be, happy. She was opening up in front of you cause she trusts you." said Gerrad.
"So much for a bad guy you are-" I said.
I stopped because I could see by his look towards Faye, that this guy might have lost his girl in any accident and he thinks Faye as his daughter or something.
Even after everything that has happened till now between me and Gerrad. The last line that he said before leaving made home inside me. It was
"Don't every broke her trust." said Gerrad.
I could sense a protective and caring feeling of him towards Faye, and I just said while he was gone outside.
"I won't. I promise." I said it out loud.
I don't know if he heard it or not, but by his personality of listening to our things, he must have definitely heard it.

(2 Days Later)
Finally I am almost healed mentally and physically. Now I can be back into this chaotic world with a person whom I admire.
"Are you ready to go Davis or lieutenant?" asked Faye.
"Just call me by my name." I replied.
"But we need a post for you." said Faye.
Suddenly her subordinates gathered there.
"What will we all call you?" said one of the subordinate.
"Just call me by my name or anything." I replied.
"So get yourself ready... Future Slayer." said Faye.
[Note: The people who kill monsters are called Slayers. They are the highest rankers and the strongest of all. Like - Gerrad and Faye. Even Ryan and Garrick.]
"Yeah Slayer. Just call me by my name for now, cause soon, you will call me a SLAYER." I replied.

With that, my first mission finally arrived and I won't let anyone steal this moment from me. Just be with me everyone. You are part of my strength too.
"Move out Davis, and don't fall behind." said Faye.
"Right on your back." I replied.
